I can't believe Genshiken Nidaime is so far down the list!! LIES!!!
I was really put off by all the voice changes and that it skipped quite a bit of the manga but I'll probably pick it up again at some point.
Yeah the voices did threw me off a bit and skip over the Ogiue & Sasahara arc. But still a way better show than some of the other thats on this list.
This list is full of shenanigans!!
So, if I adhere to this chart with the anime I'm watching this season:
1. Shingeki no Kyojin
- Way too obvious. Hype machine around it is insane.
3. Love Lab
- Surprised me a lot - I hopped on late since everyone was raving about it.
5. Watamote
- Of course, who doesn't love the walking cringe-fest that is Tomoko Kuroki?
6. Servant x Service
- This show has been fun so far. It really has picked up in recent weeks.
16. Free!
- Well, I guess KyoAni was enough for people to watch this. Others, not so much. Me? Mostly as a joke, but it's been interesting.
19. Highschool DxD NEW
- PLOT x plot. Lovin' it.
24. Inu to Hasami
- Probably one of the more batshit crazy shows this season. All my preconceived thoughts went out the window.
So, the only show that I watched that didn't chart were Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku. It's okay, but it didn't live up to my expectation. Plus it was part of the reason I hopped over to watch Love Lab. Much more satisfying.
It's been alright thus far, but Kitakubu pretty much took its sweet time and lost most of its audience anyway.
Blood LAd number 20............WTF! it should be in the top ten what the fuck is it doing at number 20!
Being a generic comedy/action anime, that's what it's doing at number 20.
You damn right Shingeki no Kyojin is number 1.
No more of this Madoka hype bullshit.
Shingeki no Kyojin is overrated. And why did you single out Madoka? Did that anime ruin your life?
Madoka has not done anything to my life.
Madoka is good for what it is, but it is not as good as it's hyped out to be.
And Shingeki no Kyojin is as good as it's hyped up to be?
Not even close. SnK is the most overhyped thing since Shit Art Online. SnK is good, but not nearly as good as it's hyped up to be.
Ohhh Shit Art Online. At least we can agree on something here.
And when Unbreakable Machine Doll comes in October, nobody will remember SNK... And all the critics about hypes will attack it.
SnK is just as good as the hype says it is... for the ones hyping it. Same goes for SAO. You're acting like other people somehow are forcing you to like something that obviously aint your cup of tea.
Here's a hint: if you don't like sci-fi space exploration, don't watch star trek and then complain about it because you "dont get it".
Entertainment value is defined by people's subjective opinions. To call it overrated is an oxymoron.

It can be defined by majority reception and statistical factuality.
By that logic, the word 'overrated' is made redundant in the English language.
And how do you measure how much each participant of your statistical survey has enjoyed a given product?
If you just measure if they enjoyed it or not, then you only measure popularity.
If you ask them to self-grade, then you are back to square one. How would you evaluate if these opinions are overrated? Ten thousand biased opinions are not magically objective when taken together.
Only for quantities which lack an objective scale to measure by. You can overrate how well you are able to complete a given task. For example, if you are convinced you are as good as a professional marathon runner, but your timings as atrocious compared to most amateur athletes, then that's overrating.
Word overrated is for people with with low esteem and since they are mostly weak and pathetic this is only way they can feel better about themselfs.
It would be weird if Madoka made to the summer 2013 list
Because Madoka is extremely overrated.
Madoka isn't overrated, it just suffers from a major hype backlash.

The fact that Pokemon even made it on the list boggles me. Seriously, Ash needs to disappear or at least grow up...
Nobody "needs" to grow up.
I'm just tired of seeing his Pikachu devolving to lv.5 every time he starts a new region.
The manga needs to be animated, it's got much better plot and does the pokemon justice.
And by growing up, I mean show that time has passed at least. Like in Rave Master, Digimon etc

Watamote is hilarious until you know that it's just keeps on using the same gag formula, and there's almost no character progression.
Isn't that the point? Her life is stuck in the same dead end depressing shit.
Apparantly. Would have been better with some progress instead of milking the same thing, though/.
Still it's one of the highlights in this dark summer season, for me.
Actually, the progressing of a socially awkward person is what that has been milked to death.
Seeing the daily lie a person stuck in that place of despair is not much used.
Is it even fair to put Shingeki no Kyojin on this list when it came out LAST season?
And Love Lab? That moeshit? I dropped that after one episode.

Yes I played the games and now that Plutia as shown up the fun has only begun.
Well there you go. As a game it's not hard to see why they got chose. Still the fact that Pokemon beat it is weird.
People started to re-watch Pokemon after they heard charizard returning which was a couple of months ago
It's only weird if you ignore the restlessly of a massive older generation of pokemon fans wish there were a proper anime.
The trailer is exciting in that it resembles the universe the Pokemon Adventures manga is set in, which is confirmed to be closest to what Satoshi envisioned within the games.
Simple.
Having a good heroine doesn't make up for the rest of the series' flaws.
All of these shows an entertaining wholely,
pretty surprised rozen maiden scored so low, its actually quite good.
well... actually, the first and seacond season were better for my taste, even if they don't follow the manga.
Uchouten Kazoku nowhere to be found. I've lost hope for anime industry...

this season is pretty bad, it basically ruined the whole manga arc with lots of unforgivable changes since chapter 1.
They skip too much story and also cut many scenes,events, and dialogue from the Manga to make the story progress faster.
