It's not about anything sexual in a real life situation but chest compression is more valuable tool then breathing into the mouth directly, it helps.
Plus there's potential danger with mouth to mouth with strangers such as sexual transmitted disease on or in the mouth. So without the proper tools for that I'd think again on that.

Also, he is right. They stopped doing breaths quite a while back. I have to get CPR and first aid certified over and over again for my job, and I don't think they've taught you to give breaths in at least four or five years.
WRONG. Chest compressions are more important than blowing air because pumping even deoxygenated blood is better than nothing or only blowing air, but blowing still helps, even thou it's not even pure oxygen but air.

It's true. When you blow air which is your own, i.e. deoxygenated, you're not even providing atmospheric level oxygen level. You're giving less. Chest compression still provide blood to the brain even if deoxygenated, it is still better than nothing or only blowing air in mouth. Of course if you can also blow and give compressions it's a litte better, but if you can only do ONE thing, do chest compressions.
Here is the guideline assholes:
"Remove the victim rapidly and safely from the water, but do not place yourself in danger. If you have special training, you can start rescue breathing while the victim is still in the water195 providing that it does not delay removing the victim from the water. There is no evidence that water acts as an obstructive foreign body, so do not waste time trying to remove it with abdominal or chest thrusts. Start CPR and, if you are alone, continue with about 5 cycles (about 2 minutes) of chest compressions and ventilations before activating EMS. If 2 rescuers are present, send 1 rescuer to activate EMS immediately."
