Well once it breaks into the 2nd series(vol 3), the loli yuri factor goes up exponentially. Gave me some Kodomo no Jikan vibes with how..."bold" it gets.
That and they don't leave out all the hilarious gags and hide Illya's more otaku-side like they seem to be doing in the anime. They seem to be leaving out most of Illya's witty/skeptical remarks and turning her into an innocent loli, which really takes away from the show if you ask me.

The battle in this episode was actually pretty bad, awfully slow compared to the manga, BUT, the 6th episode was wonderful. The battle continue and FINALLY Saber really moves her ass.
A truly epic fight compared to the 5th episode you're talking about.
Meh. Next episode is where things really get awesome! :P
