My balls. They are blue.
Funny thing is that the box of the japanese V3 version looks better.
Dunno dude. I think Kaito is posing as Miku in this one
now thats GOLD!
Seriously! It looks like a male Miku!
The hips are small, the shoulders are wide and the fingers don't look "delicate".
While that does explain everything, someone out there would still tap that.
They should have used the 1st or 2nd version of Miku from MikuMikudance for this. Yah thats not miku.
Grown-up Miku. I think, this illustration would've fit Dark and Solid appends much better than any other. But, sadly, it is for eng Miku only, and her English demos have a lighter tone than her original voicebank. Backwards Iroha.
Of course it does, its Japanese after all..-_- -Taylor
Actually found out that Miku's 6th birthday is going to be August 31st with a "Miku's Magical Mirai" in LA and NYC for an afternoon and evening concert.
OMG.. this is gonna get weird.. im excited but a little scared at the sametime.. im wondering how she sounds in english... also DAT PRICE.. >.<; but yeah i don't even have words right now.. so shocked~
I'm even more scared of the hordes of talent-free weaboo wannabe-composers/producers that will undoubtedly flood Youtube with inhumanly crappy noise.
In Japan, mostly those with actual musical talent are doing Vocaloid songs, must be something cultural. Only do what you're good at and don't stick out negatively by sucking and stuff. Unfortunately there's a severe lack of such sentiments here.
wait until you find out she's voiced by Erin Fitzgerald
Obviously you don't know SHIT about vocaloid, cause when Miku first came out, alot of her songs/vocals for songs were SO BAD that the people listening refused it was actually Miku and made up sub-versions of her to explain, Hence the existence of "Haku" and "Neru"....(it just so happens that even terribly BAD things can be made *Moe* in Japan....lets see if we can pull off the same with the english vocals,) LOL
Acaully... Miku isnt the first, Leon, Lola, Mariam, Maiko and Kaito were. Learn your vocaloids please
22:25 and you don't know SHIT about reading a text. Where did I say anything about the quality of the voice synthesizing? Going on about composers, producers, musical talent etc I was obviously referring to the MUSIC that's being made for the Vocaloids you retarded dumbfuck.

I dunno. I think most of those songs start out on Nico, and only the really good ones make it to YouTube. Likewise, once someone commented on a Japanese cover of a Vocaloid song, something like "How come all of the Japanese Nico singers are so much better than the YouTube ones?" I've been on Nico. Along with the really good covers, there's plenty of mediocre ones, and ones I'd even call bad.
I don't find people who press the "play" button, given them samples, to actually have musical talent. Although people who record themselves playing a real instrument and then pressing the button is acceptable.
Also, $149 is it? That's a really good bargin. Just imagine how much Money you already spent on ona holes and figures.
Trololo t(^-^t)
Yeah, it's rather cheap compared to other software instruments.
Re: talent, Programming a synthesizer, even with the extreme convenience of a DAW, still takes musical talent. You have to be well-versed in theory of composition and harmony if you want to make really good music. Not to mention the knowledge in the field of electrical engineering (especially signal processing) you need if you want to properly produce your music. You do need a knack for all of these (i.e. talent) to apply them in a good-sounding and creative way.
The talent you're talking about is the manual skills required to play an acoustic or otherwise "analogue" instrument. That's related, but still a different thing. You certainly don't necessarily need this kind of talent to be a good composer or producer.
Master this both and you master both worlds.
i.e :
Analogue -> Musician/Producer -> Recording directly using live instrument
Digital -> Engineer/Producer -> Recording directly using virtual instrument

$149 is a bit steep.
which is Why I'm buying 5 copies and selling them for DOUBLE on e-bay! those weaboos'll neveeer seee me come'n~
149 isn't that much when you consider how much other virtual instruments cost. Consider that Vienna Symphonic full is 4.5k euro. a single instrument costs you somewhere around the same. Music is expensive, man.
Vienna Symphonic is the shit, though. Takes me fucking ages to work with it, but the results are incredible. And DAT ORGAN, it's like an asthmatic dragon. I really must do Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony with it one day, it would be perfect.
Too freaking awesome!!
BUTTER FACEEEEEEE!!!!!!
better than your butt face...
Come release date when our virtual goddess will finally fill us up with her "Miku Miku", I'm certain we'll be "Coming Together" huehue
Why is Miku looking so ugly in the advertisement?
..and how are they getting the name order right for this one, but for pretty much no one else? xD
She looks as manly as Senjougahara in that pic.
I'm dating with my Manaka instead.
She grew up in the meantime? o_O
16 when released
22 6 years later.
Yup, that's how it works. She looks awesome.
<.< my god... you might actually be on to something there Mr. Anon...
Not liking the Western Miku much. zero cuteness
she looks like a crossdressing dude
You talk like that would be a bad thing.
;)
100% epicness.
Agreed. The west has no care for cute things unfortunately. If it is not sexy or macho then it will not sell.
There is but only for ages 10 and under...
The west is too tsundere to show cute Miku
what the fuck is a miku?
A miku is a priestess in a temple, also known as a "shrine maiden."
You got last letter wrong.
DERP you mean ”巫女”/みこ/"Miko"だろ!はい、皆で、...smh (~_~; )
