Main character Araragi Koyomi shows up and in ten seconds annihilates what has taken Hanekawa 5 episodes to even figure out...Hanekawa, I'm not sure what it is, but you're doing it wrong. This is why Senjougahara is better than you (especially, for Koyomi).
He still needed help to do it; Shinobu's sword did the real work. Koyomi would've gotten his ass kicked like usual if he tried to fight that Tiger without it.
Something tells me that's not the case. I mean, did you see his clothes?

Am i the only one who noticed how oddly strong he was? I mean damn the dude sniped the tiger in the back of the neck by throwing sword from the roof of a tall building, managed to just hop from the top of the building across to the train tracks with ease and picked up the tiger that's the size of a small car and carried him LIKE IT WAS NOTHING!! It's pretty safe to say that he did it all by himself that time. Was he a full vampire then or what? Why didn't he use that sort of power when he's getting his ass beat by these girls all the time?
I noticed; i assume most of that was just for the sake of looking heroic... Well, except that he made a really sneaky cheap-shot with a final-boss-level sword from behind for an instant-kill. Anyway, he has been absent for the first 4 episodes, so he needed a flashy looking entrance.
So far in the parts that have been animated, this was the first time he actually beat an enemy. (The only other fight he won was against Hachikuji...)
The next arc, Mayoi Jiangshi, will show how he became strong and why he has tattered cloths \o/
Mayoi Jiangshi only have zombies outbreak, gronw up Hachikuji, and berserked Kissshot in it. Araragi is still weak. Nothing changes. Must be Onimonogatari: Shinobu Time.

Why is that everybody's response whenever somebody has ONE complaint? Who's gonna drop a series because their hair got cut? If you want a design that is worthy of dropping a series, just look at the MC of Accel World. THAT, ladies and gentleman, is bad enough to make you drop a series.

Koyomi is attracted to Senjougahara because of her personality, and he's far too nice to ever dump her because of the other girls he has feelings for. (Hanekawa, Hachikuji, Shinobu)
Koyomi LITERALLY just said that he is in love with her, more than anyone else. It has nothing to do with his niceness.
1: She's not actually tsundere, she just likes to call herself that.
2: Hanekawa is kinda boring. Araragi describes it well, she's too perfect that it becomes completely unappealing.
3: Senjougahara is awesome. She's funny, she's smart, she's kind, and she can think for herself (unlike Hanekawa, until this episode at least).
The list goes on. It's also a pretty obvious list too.
Because Senjougahara's personality resembles his own mother. You should've noticed it the moment his mother appeared and had a little chat with Hanekawa.
I am actually extremely sad. I haven't watched the episode, but I can already tell what happened.
I don't know what it is about me, but there's something about seeing an unhappy cat girl that does that to me.
