Yukico-tan: “Megmilk’s Coffee Was Never This Tasty!”

Not content with canned, cartoned, iced and hot, Japan’s latest coffee innovation looks to be moe – top Japanese brand Yukiin is celebrating its 50th anniversary with, of all things, a series of Pixiv-designed “Yukico-tan” moe cartons, and some of the entries are certainly looking more tasteful than the liquid they purport to represent…
6 of the 6843 entries solicited will feature on as actual 500ml carton designs, to be sold nationwide from late July to late August.
The designs have been hailed as “unbuyable by commoners” and “creepy” by less tolerant bean-suckers – although even amongst those who appreciate the designs a certain eclecticism has been commented upon:
Public voting will decide which becomes the official Yukico-tan – although it is hard to see Megmilk overlooking what might be suspected to be a cunning insertion by its own marketing department…

"Unbuyable", just wow... is it really so "embarrassing" to drink a product with drawn 2D moe girls on it? It's not even that people draw them on themselves... the company did it.. and this seems to be a well-known product... and those 2D girls aren't even naked or in "embarrassing" positions...
This is one thing I truly don't like about Japanese... everything is "embarrassing". It's not like they are walking around naked in public or have to tell intimate details or childhood stories about their failures. Just duh -_-

I used to drink this a lot, and I have a strong suspicion the drink contains ingredients closer to 'Malk' than Milk.

In the runners-up, I really like 7 and 32. In my opinion those should have deserved a spot.
Wait. Is this coffee or coffee milk (like chocolate milk, but coffee flavored)? I ask this as I am from Rhode Island, USA where coffee milk started (at least in the western hemisphere anyway). In fact, it is our official State drink. Although it has spread to a few other US States, I didn't know it was consumed elsewhere in the world. Google "Autocrat Coffee Milk". Made in Lincoln, RI USA.
