I can't help but feel, that as a serious airsoft skirmisher myself... that I'd probably find this unwatchable. ^_^;
At my local airsoft club/site of about 80 regulars, there are probably at most 4 girls that come to skirmish days enough to be called airsofters. They all wear camo, and end up covered in mud just like everyone else.
This anime definitely needs more mud.
In anime like this if you want them covered in mud, the girls first have to be dressed in easily rippable swimsuits.
that would mean:
1) double the character design work
2) using tone patterns which is lazy
3) draw actual camo which would take forever
I'm impressed that she can run around like that without rolling an ankle.

In anime, guns are so often the wrong size... I'm surprised Gainax would do this too, since they must have a gun otaku on staff, and you'd think they had some scale airsoft models. Still, the Desert Eagle in the top pic is about half size.
