After a disastrously received initial episode, legendary doll fancying anime Rozen Maiden may have recovered some of its chances with an alternate advent for Shinku.

SanCom is not meant to be surfed on the phone. First, it's NSFW, and second, it's just so image intensive that a mobile version would not even do this site justice.
I have a Blackberry Torch 9800 and it handles the site pretty well.
Galaxy 4 handles the site easily. Sure, it's a bit smallish, but it gives me something to do at lunch rather than talk to the idiots in receiving.
Galaxy Whour FTW!
i am in the ps vita right nao

Eh? Even my phone from 2009 can handle them without a problem.
Hina Ichigo: "Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Shinku, Hngggggghhhhh!!"
So, what is this one about? Does it follows the manga or not?
It's a sequel that ties into an alternate reality setting. It is directly related but they communicate over different dimensions.
Can I watch this without fear of having my heart crushed by Hina's death?
Yes, because Hina Ichigo is already dead.
@Naoe T__T
yes it follows the new chapters of the manga and the whole Jun is grown up and miserable in college saga, also foreshadowing his dream job potential path through co-worker helping him with the networking he NEEDS D:< So they're not deviating at all with this second ep!
I like to think of this arc as where Jun discovers his calling and becomes a dollmaker.
That female co-worker...is wonderful...I need them to end up together now. Hopefully, he won't fall in love with the doll like I know he will.
They are dolls. If he falls in love with them he has serious issues.
We fall in love to drawings, your logic doesn't work here!
They're also intelligent and act like people. Strange that you missed that.
i want to comment on this topic but i don't want to spoil the upcoming plot :(
plot or "plot"?
Female co-worker? Hmmm, so alternate-Jun needs a few female body parts to complete his doll...

They really should have just started with this. The exposition in the text messages would have been plenty, even without the first episode. Besides, it's not like older Jun knows any more than what was in those texts, so there'd be nothing wrong with having the audience on the same level as him.
Oh well, at least they only wasted one episode. Twelve episodes is plenty of time to tell a story, so let's hope for the best.
Best anime of summer, almost the only one which has STORY.
Such a beautiful ending theme.
The first episode wasn't "disastrous" at all. That was just idiots crying like the retards they are without getting themselves properly informed.
I never watched the original series and the first episode made sense as far as summaries go. Sure it felt rushed, but at least it wasn't slow and expositional.
There's something to be said about anime fandom when there's more whining about new anime this season than I've seen in a while.. RM, WataMote, Free, etc.. it's even kind of disturbing to a jaded, cynical asshole like me.
Sancom is perfecting the art of creating drama.
Yeeeep, and posting misleading news
Just that I commented on how animes this season were poorly chosen, and took a shower of negative ..
I am not against free or whatever, each has the right to their tastes but the choice of the producers was unhappy.
Divide and conquer should be a priority in the distribution of anime.
Rozen looks like it will have a thematic adult in chapters on, the question is whether it will appeal to fans of the original anime series ..
As a fan of the original series, I'm glad for this iteration, I'm honestly just happy to see my favourite characters again, and I'm even more interested now that there's such an interesting new story for me (never read the manga, just watched the anime).
In fact, having a grown up version of the old main character is super brilliant, because I was about young-Jun's age when I watched the old version, and now I'm about uni-Jun's age. It's perfect, really.
Agree, what the fuck they call it disastrous? hahaha retards idd. Ohwell let them cry maorr
Seconded. The real surprise with this anime is how many people apparently failed to catch that the first episode was a RECAP episode. It's like the whole "Avatar" fiasco in 2009 all over again >.< (Where people managed to get "Avatar" and "The Last Airbender" mixed up)
The first episode was just fine it acted as a recap all the way up to the point where the second manga takes place, people bitching all over the place
Yeah, complaining like they never watched the 1st and 2nd seasons by Nomad or even read the manga...
oh yeah, fuck you new viewers you're not the target audience, go watch the 1st and 2nd seasons first.
Are you serious? You're acting as if it's normal to come into a movie halfway in and then complaining because you can't follow the story.
Do you usually start reading books 2/3 into the book or at some random point instead of at the beginning?
Lol, this guy.
It's clear from the start that their target audience is not new to the series viewers, but the ones who watched Nomad's adaptation and or read the manga.
This is the adaptation of the 2nd manga series not the first. They were kind enough to give a recap of major events, which is just a waste of time to does who want to watch the 2nd series adapted.
And here's an analogy based on your post.
If Rozen Maiden was a novel like harry potter, then this is Rozen Maiden 2.
You're like complaining the author didn't start from the 1st when it was clearly said that this is the 2nd book and the author gave 1 chapter exclusively for a short recap.
fear the desu
In one world Jun is a failure middle schooler neet desu.
In another world Jun is a struggling failure desu.
I fear our other world counters are also Sankaku browser desu.
Welp i gave this series a 2nd chance, but the 2nd episode was just as bad as the 1st. Perma-DROPPED!
You guys do realize it's an adaptation from a manga right?
A world where Jun chose "not to wind up".
So according to pic 21 he's making a futa doll?
so this season is ok to watch or no? =/
Only if you've seen the last 2
Or read the manga, new viewers are not the target audience.
