Sadly Shiny Days' main attraction is Kokoro and not the story, so I don't think they'll get my money...

So shiny days is a remake of summer days? Really curious if it will feature the scene with Kokoro.
Well they did Release Song of Saya in which Saya is clearly underage, and all the h-scenes are intact and uncensored. So ya never know.
The fact of the matter is that JAST takes eons to release just about EVERYTHING.

Shiny Days is a remake of Summer Days, with new characters and scenes.
It only took JAST 2 years since Steins;Gate was fan translated to finally announce they've got the rights, so I'm guessing another 6 years til it's available in English, on Steam.

No. This is a step forward in the right direction.
Steins;Gate is a really popular VN and it has once appeared on 360 and PS3.
Theoretically, JAST can open up the VN market on consoles thus making them mainstream.
IIRC, in the past comics and manga were available on consoles, but now disappeared. VNs could make the push to bring back reading materials on consoles.
I for one, would like readable game guides from PSN, not just videos of guides.

Personally people care a bit to much about cartoon characters ages. Though I am curious how they are going to handle kokoro, I actually have the scene with her (that ends with Kotonoha smacking him over the head with something right as they finish.) all I can say si Makoto is one horny bastard, I looked at the chars on visual novel database, and I don't think there is one non-blood related girl he doesn't fuck in the game.
