The new designs leave me in the neutral position, but the best part for me were those Bakemonogatari parody scenes.

No comments on the alarming number of new voices for old characters?
I’m surprised people still remember 7 years old voices… I barely remember anything about the originals.

For example, even i remember the voices from like all the Animes i have watched.
I find that most humans have absolutely terrible memory. I don't know how they manage to function on a daily basis with such terrible memory capacity. It's really very sad.
You guys do know that if you remembered absolutely everything you wouldn't be able to function properly.
Why waste time memorizing small details that have no bearing on anything in your life?
Anime and VAs aren't fond memories or old friends, save your brain for those things. When you start losing your memory, you'll be glad you did.
No we dont actually remember them, but sure as hell instantly notice if they change them, the mind is weird like that, matter of fact 99% of the people wont even recognize them out of context
It sticks to our memory on its own. And besides, the voice is a big part of the character itself...
The diehardjagged is an untermensch bragging about lies, he basically said "for example even i am more talented than most"
It got to me at first, but by the end of the episode I didn't mind it so much.
Kuchiki for example was great with the incredibly annoying voice/delivery, but it's also kind of refreshing almost to let him have an actual voice even if it's the "Steve Blum of japan" (Fukuyama Jun) doing it..
Oono's is a bit harsher since Kawasumi was great and really brought home the:
"You broke her model!?!?! You son of a bitch!!!"

I would've questioned it, if it was just one or two new ones, but they replaced all the old ones.
What I want to know is WHY.
New studio has taken over doing Genshiken, they have their own seiyuu herd.
Haha herd, like seiyuu are some kind of untermencsh live stock.
All characters have new seiyuu voices. Luckily most of them are good, but Ohno`s new voice needs time to get used to, though Yukana is normally very good seiyuu veteran.
Ayako Kawasumi is hard to replace.
Ohno's voice is horrible.
So many changes in the new series. New Design, new VC, change from otaku to fujoshi. Well at least they are finally directly referencing real anime which was sadly the best part of the first ep.

You must not have read the scene where Kasukabe asks Ohno to add to the discussion and she blurts out [http://komica41.dreamhosters.com/pix/img11641.jpg] "There's no such thing as a woman who hates homos!" It was pretty funny, since it was as inappropriate as it sounds.
Interestingly enough, I remember that, too. I fell out of my chair laughing at that line.
This was a nice trip down memory lane.

disappointing first episode this anime was one of my most anticipated for this season & this is what we get..
I watched the first 2 seasons for entertainment value, the otaku stuff was just gravy. The 3rd season so far is still entertaining (if it keeps following the manga to some degree), fujoshi stuff notwithstanding. Giving this it still appears to follow the main focus of the 1st 2 seasons so I'm still going to probably immensely enjoy it.
This anime seasob follows the manga quite exactly.
