With gun and tanker girls doing so well, Gainax’s latest anime Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C3-bu aims to capitalize on the moe militaria craze with schoolgirls and airsoft survival games, having been compared to no less than K-ON! in terms of both its cuteness and extracurricular club theme, although purists have complained about them wearing their school uniforms during their matches…

"K-ON! with guns"
So in other words it might actually be good?
This is assuming K-on was actually worth a shit and good, which it wasn't.
ummm... no, you illiterate retard. It's assuming K-ON! isn't good, which is the whole point of the comment. BUT, K-ON! + Guns might actually be good.
....lol, holly shit dude.
The main girl kinda looks like Yui and the blondie looks like a meaner tomboyish Mugi
WRONG!! "Ye whom doth offer cake and speak thou art with feminine refine shall thee be mugi." get that through your head
The blonde one is sexy.
More like "K-ON with actual club activities".
agree this is way beter than k-on
K-on's club activities sold hundreds of thousands of real life dollars world wide so eh..
2nd pic "SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND"
I think I'll hafta watch this. :3
Do not forget that this is K-On! meets Upotte.
Upotte= K-On ABOUT guns. A big difference.
Fail. K-On didn't teach you twat about guitars and performances. It was just girls hanging around together in a band. Upotte at least teach you how to snipe with your legs lol
K-on with guns
I think I see Dekomori in there. Has her chuunibyou syndrome gotten worse? Or was it better?
instead of twisting hairs of death she got now "guns of instant death".
i think the new dekomori is more effective in what she does.
the old dekomori was fine how she was.
shit with guns
Oh Gainax, Gainax, Gainax. Why can't you just give us PSG season 2 instead? ;-;
Didn't the guy responsible for that one leave Gainax? Like everyone else that ever did good anime for them?
Exactly.
So you're saying that if this venture turns out to be a major success, then we should expect it to be a one-off? -_- Great.
This was surprisingly good! One of my favourite first episodes this season. Looks like a fun ride, the Rambo-scene was golden.
If they are paintball guns than I could understand the purist point of view. But airsoft guns don't hit hard at all no special gear needed but something to protect the eyes.
Depends on the gun. I've read a review for an electric-driven, gas-powered minigun that could rip cardboard boxes to shreds.
You kidding me!? you have only seen kid`s airsoft guns so. the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the pics was exactly "holly fuck! these girls are so badass that they play airsoft without masks. some don't use gloves too".
no way in hell they can play like that. grown up boys don't do this craziness, how can those little girls? an airsoft ball that hits your unprotected skin leaves a rather big and painful red dot. in the face it looks like a disgusting zit. (I know cuz my brother used to play with a mask that covered only half of his face)
In Japan, airosft is bigger than paintball mainly because they can't own real guns.
Lol. Military K-On!
This is going to be such an awesome anime :D
YES! Moe + guns + plot(?) ksfhofhwhfohohvo
I'm going to guess that you have never seen Gunslinger Girl...
no that one passed me by. Must watch it also.
I read the manga before the story is completely different from manga, anime seem to became more like K-ON. I wish they never change Sonora's design ponytail with long brown hair is look way better than short blue hair.
I wasn't sure if I was going to watch STELLA but then Zac Bertschy gave it a score of 0, which, for a "cute girls doing cute things" anime, which Zac absolutely hates, means it must be the cream of the crop.
Girls und Panzer >>>>>k-on<<<<<any moe anime and maybe this.
I just realized this. Don't airsoft guns have an orange tip to let other people know that it is an "airsoft" gun and not a real one? None of the guns in the show have it.
God fucking DAMMIT! Moeblob airsoft anime?! Really, Gainax?!
I can literally FEEL the demographic crosshairs of this fucking thing lined up squarely on the back of my head, awaiting an order to take the killshot. D:
I thought I'd be safe because at first glance it seems absurdly stupid... But it wasn't terrible. I laughed pretty good a couple times, they did a fair job portraying the combat, and that whole later part of the episode had good art and I liked the music. I-I think I might be in trouble here. :S
I just came.
Gainax.
Doing wrong things right.
Since... [wiki_help_me]
hopefully.. before that weird datenski appeared, my "internet" was kind of "untouched by vile monsters like money mouth silencers".
Looks like another Upotte.
Gainax is trying really hard, isn't it?
As long as Yuki Kajiura isn't wasting her talents on this one I'm fine just ignoring it.
As long as Kajiura Yuki doesn't produce the same melodies, use the same themes/instruments/chorals/etc. AGAIN, I'm fine with it...
I'm not a hater, I just dislike how many composers ALWAYS have the same shit... Kajiura, Yasuharu Takanashi, Motoi Sakuraba, Shiro Sagisu, fucking Ali Project (urgh... I hate their songs, and how EVERY song sounds sooo similar), and others... please stop overusing the same stuff.
It's called a style, and I love her style.
Pew pew pew
Guessing that it's an all-girls school, because who's ever heard of an airsoft club without at least one or two guys in it? And as for the purists' opinion about them being in school uniforms, I'd have to partially agree, if only because miniskirts are supremely unfit for this kind of thing. Cargo pants or jeans or whatever, even shorts (down to around the knees) would be fine. As for color scheme, I'd have to say that pink is pretty low on my list of preferred colors for outdoor combat sports. A nice grey or dull green would be best, but as long as its not brightly colored it would be fine.
Bouncy...
Bang, bangbangbangbangbangbang!
More bouncy!
CHIMICHANGAS!
Deadpool, bro, is it you?
Camouflage patterns are worn only by those without fieldcraft skills. Camouflage only serves to make yourself stick out like a sore thumb in most terrain, aside from the rare situation where you are in front of a textured surface, unmoving, with the same colourisation, and the enemy is more then 200m away that the colours can be blended in. Of course your face needs to be matching as well, and any belts, buckles, and infractions on the colour scheme can likewise give you away. Generally simply hiding behind something is far more effective then the modern obsession with patterns.
There is a reason why the Japs in WW2 and Vietnamese in the Vietnam war wore drab colours, and they were tough buggers to spot.
