After Famitsu hastily deleted a survey asking gamers which company they would most like to step in and rescue the remains of Atlus from Index’s insolvency and probable dissolution the question of Atlus’s fate has become more controversial than ever…
Just why the topic was sensitive enough to last only a few hours before being removed without explanation has been the subject of some speculation – as, of course, has the matter of who should take Atlus under their wing:

While i would like for them to be on the ps4, i would really like them to go on as their own company, just hired by the console developers for specific projects(persona, SMT, etc.), that way they can build the games they want their way AND start to show off what they can really do when they're their own boss...

Why? Nintendo makes perfect sense. Most of Atlus's games are already Nintendo exclusives. Only Persona fanboys would want otherwise.
Stop spreading lies. Sony's consoles got most of their long running title series. The recent concentration on handheld and other obscure media comes directly from Index's idiot regulations. They wanted them to concentrate on social gaming/handheld fast food.
Atlus was VERY comfortable with making big RPGs for Sony consoles, they just lost a lot of self-determination when they were absorbed by that good for nothing Index hellhole.
You're the first person I've heard claim that Index actually did anything at Atlus besides profitting from them. Can you cite a source?
