What's with the non couples on a couples list?
Otaku don't want to watch actual couples, just the clumsy pre-couple stage they're familiar with. They would rather pretend that Kyon and Haruhi were a couple then actually stop and think about less popular anime that had actual couples.
They both like each other... that's no secret.. It's just the matter of time until they become a real couple.
Oh, you just wait until the revelation that Kyon is in love with Imouto and has been doing her in secret since he met Haruhi....
Getting to know the girls in the SOS-dan changed his view on Imouto. Haruhi is nerve-wrecking, with Mikuru there is too much sexual tension... and Nagato is simply there (Kyon wants to love inanimate people... that's why, when he was younger, he kept deceased pets and caressed them).
Imouto is NOT like Haruhi, but rather similar to Mikuru.. and after drugging her, she reminds Kyon of Nagato... just lying there, staring into space. (that's why he was outraged when Haruhi drugged Mikuru... he thought his cover had been blown!)
So yeah... you'll be shocked when this gets official :D
Hm... so, that's my awesome romance story for the day... btw I dislike Kyon, hate Haruhi and I'm indifferent to Nagato (she's neither interesting nor do I hate her).
Also, this list sucks for having almost only non-couples (even Shinichi+Ran aren't together... Li+Sakura only confessed, Kuroneko+Imoutocon aren't a definite couple yet)
@19:24 seems like you didn't watch/read the disapearance of haruhi suzumiya.
Liking each other doesn't make you a couple. By that logic, pretty much every girl in that series is a couple with Kyon. It hasn't even been established that he properly likes Haruhi any more than the other characters.

Most anime don't even have couples, so I guess they had to fill the list somehow. I wished there were more couples though, it gets kind of boring watching the same exact relationship type that you saw in the last anime you just watched. Show me some lovie-dovey crap for once, Mysterious Girlfriend X had it, in a weird "drool in my mouth, yeah that's it, now spit in it" kind of way.
Nodame Cantabile? Spice and Wolf? Kemonozume? Katanagatari? Banner/Crest of the Stars? Hell, even Isaac and Miria are more of a couple than most of the pairing on this list. But it doesn't matter because none of those characters are from the otaku-sanctioned list of anime that are popular enough to warrant being put on a list.
