DOn't expect too much stuff. It is only a game for phones. It is natural that graphic wise it sucks a bit. As for gameplay and story you should wait for more videos.
as someone working on a tactical game for mobile devices, size doesn't matter and is no excuse for poor gameplay

They reused even the promo art work of FFTA 2... This could be a one-man project.
Like FFTA? Pretty sure the missions in that game were thrown together by one poor temp in a single afternoon.
And, by the looks of it, they hired some flash designers instead.
Even the art is bad/amateurish.

Did they take the entire premise of tactical battles out of the 'tactics' game? It looks like the grid is there in spirit only and the battles are closer to Final Fantasy 3.
They should probably just rename it "Final Fantasy Arithmetic" from the looks of it.

Tactics has no legs to stand out with Matsuno gone anyways. Who does SE have left other than "Belt & Zippers" Nomura? Yoshi.P can only do so much with SE slave driving him with FFXIV.
The interface of the battle screen consists of a text box and a skip button? Are the battles presented visual novel style?
This is blaspheme! The first FFT was the game that single-handedly popularize 'Tactic' sub-genre. And now, look what it has became. SQEN can screw FF series what ever they want (but they shouldn't even do that in the first place) but I cannot believe they can ruin the game that has very well established gameplay style and art direction like the FFT series. Honestly, there's no single hope left in this company anymore.
don't be fooled, this is actually more "All the Bravest" than it is Tactics.
you can choose your characters to have in your party, and where they should stand... and your characters have levels and potentially multiple abilities...
that, and the grid is the only thing they took from Final Fantasy Tactics. the rest is FF ATB.

It's up to indies now. The only games I've been getting even remotely excited about lately are Kickstarter projects anyway.

They have been using the good reputation of the Final Fantasy name in order to push out piece of shit games for over a decade already. People will buy into this game just for the familiar name and setting.
Some people got out after 13 and 14, but others are still brainwashed into thinking those are good games for whatever reason, completely oblivious that they have bad taste.
