The immunity to prosecution, job security and legendary perks enjoyed by Japanese teachers are again in the news, in the unusual case of a teacher who actually managed to lose his job by having sex with one of his pupils at school, also taking her home for good measure.
A male teacher in his twenties teaching at an Oita prefecture middle school was found to have engaged in indecent activities with one of his pupils at his apartment and in the school itself.
The pair became intimate after exchanging mails (although why they were engaged in such an exchange in the first place is not clear), there apparently not having been a monetary aspect to the relationship.
After the girl’s parents found out she was having sex with her teacher they informed the school, who launched an investigation.
The local educational authority claims they did not want her antics to expose her antics, so they have withheld the identity of the teacher and the school at which it occurred.
The teacher has been sacked but faces no other action, saying “My conduct was inexcusable.” For reasons which are not clear, the 50-year-old school principal was also punished with the loss of a month’s pay.
It was consensual romance! Why must they ruin a good thing?
Okay people lets make this clear, the east and the west and two different cultures and standards, do not hold your culture standards over japan because “You feel it is the right/wrong thing” right and wrong are subjective, now as for the topic, I have no issues with it, their two thinking human beings, he didn’t force,blackmail or tricked her to have sex, it wasn’t r♥♥e,it was consensual,the same way JCs sale themselve to get money, dont blame the guy alone,it’s two different countries and ways of life, get over yourselves, What my problem is the teacher, if it was just some guy who had sex with some JC girl, no one would care but as a thinking adult and a mentor, you should have atleast some common sense to know what your doing would not look right to others, you partically could of ruin yourself under different circumstances and seriously, don’t project your views, the age of consent is way different and any “claim” that’s a “child” should realize that said so called children are sexually active regardless of the age of their partners.

Well, he was in his 20s… you don’t wonder at all if he was an attractive young man? Maybe she was a 14-16 year old girl who felt deep feelings for him… maybe he was only in his early 20s?
I know it’s still wrong but at least this case was with only one girl and even exchanged emails beforehand, most cases of teachers and sex with girls reported here have been much worse in comparison…
I’m just wondering if women could ever have a more ideal-ish type of fantasy about cases like these, the way guys have when it comes to hot teachers and boys.
