I've seen worst lists on sancom.
Truth is, it's too early to judge, but TTGL and Eva are in it.
Short memory... List started out with #1 okay... 2 is too early to tell, and 3 is laughable... need I go on?
Nanoha and Macross Frontier appear on the list....and all was right in the world. Especially since Nanoha topped Madoka.
This list should be deleted now. This is a prime example of just how bad these stupid lists can get.
Poor thing. All these lists and none of them ever validate what you yourself prefer. How lonely it must be, desperately seeking a list somewhere, anywhere, that will even in part make you feel like you belong, even a bit.... but you know there will never be such a list, because you will never belong, anywhere, ever.
But perhaps you could just grow up and stop worrying about the contents of a list?
I feel it's more the desire to say something about the opinion the list bases itself from rather than the feeling of being offended. People just want to say their two cents and go on.

Don't worry about him. He clearly doesn't understand how anyone can not want to see these pointless lists - let alone want another "perfect" pointless list in it's place.
Preference means nothing with these kinds of lists. Some people come here just to get off on trying to offend others but I understand you. Especially when they talk about "belonging" gibberish. How do you suppose to "belong" to anything when watching anime.
Anyway, I agree that these lists are stupid - as do most people that 'type' on this site.

From what I see, It's hardly even got the numbers of voters as the amount of anons on Sankaku, lol. These lists truly are pointless, almost as much as making a news article on any random anon's lists. Yet... we keep... getting them... frequently.

When the final tally of "best Anime" for the 21st century comes out, every single entry will have been made between 2097 and 2099, as none of the fans voting will even know about the awesome stuff that was made waaaaaay back in 2094 (which was awesome, believe you me), as it's "So old", and instead they'll vote for K-ON!!!!!!!!!!111eleven11!, which was out in 2097, and they still won't stop talking about it.
i don't think it came early, since i doubt we have much time left, 87 years? i think that is way optimistic, i think in around 25 will se th end of what we know as civilization.

All the lists posted by SanCom suffers heavily from short term memory disorder. It's always like that, unfortunately.
Yeah, after noticing that Ghost in the Shell:SAC was at 37th place, I realized the list was rubbish and decided to move on.
Well, that depends. GITS had its affect back in the 20th century, however technically so did Evangelion, so it's a little strange. I definitely see some decent presence in this list. Haruhi being high is correct, it redefined so much with its creation it deserves its place.

Nanoha was deserved it basically recreated the Magical Girl Genre.
At least better than Precure did.
Precure is still good,but chose to stick to a more traditional style of Magical Girls.Nanoha was originally a spin off,but back then there was never any Magical Girl anime like it.It opened the path to more and more Magical Girl animes.Also creating a Visual Novel/Eroge relationship with Magical Girl Animes.

I like Nanoha myself as they actually used magic to blow stuff up. Not magically brainwash people into being happy or crush them with giant hearts or all that nonsense. Had my does of Sailormoon and whatnot, but Nanoha became a preference. :/
Amusing how you bring up Precure sticking with a "traditional style". I haven't watched too many of the series, but Smile Precure gave me the impression that that particular series was extremely self-aware and probably something of a self-parody. It's especially amusing because it was produced after Madoka Magica made such a huge splash, almost as if Precure was also going for a deconstruction yet doing so in a far more light-hearted tone.
Nanoha just fused the magical girl genre with the mech genre, but we must give that the result was awesome.
Nanoha has mech[a]? I remember them using talking weapons, which have different modes... and in StrikerS some characters use gunblades or roller-blades... but all of them are magical weapons created through science.
But yeah... it's a great franchise and not really for kids, in contrast to most mahou shoujo nowadays (Jewel Pet, Precure). And it's definitely NOT "fanservice lolicon"!

Well, the creator has admitted to being a major fan of Super Robot Wars. Plus, when you consider that magic makes up pretty much all of their technical innovations, it's easy to see Nanoha as something like SRW only with humans in place of machines. The flying and the flashy attacks capable of causing widespread destruction only help with that portrayal.

I'd like to think so, but honestly, those transformation sequences can be a tad disturbing. Nonetheless, while I think some lolicon appeal is there, it's far from being the central focus point (hell, I recall in the first series, the characters go to a hot spring.... the episode in question ends up mostly devoted to the plot, and this is to say nothing of the whole "OMG! THE CHARACTERS CAN AGE!").
In contrast to other anime with transformation scenes, It's not in every episode.
In the first season it's shown in ep 1,3,4,6 and 7. In all the other episodes Nanoha either starts the relevant scene transformed, or transforms instantly.
In A's there's only two full transformation sequences, in episode 1 and 4. There's two minor transformation sequences in ep 3 and 12, but that's it.
Strikers follow the same pattern, with only three or four episodes containing transformations out of 26, giving each character one transformation for the entire season and a few two transformations.

shingeki no kyojin is way good, hope it doesn't disappoint, but so far is one of the best animes we have seen not only in recent years but in the last 10 years.
It definitely does compare with alot of the good ones. It's the first one this century to draw me in after I had decided I didn't like it
Nothing wrong with liking a show but this isn't a particularly good one. It isn't the best of the season, let alone second best of the century. Get real.
Even in the newest chapter of shingeki's manga, it still good as always and the studio make the series seriously. So I hope it will be the best anime of this year

Madoka was written by a genius/madman,but I wouldn't go so far as to claim it did anything completely original.
Characters have died in Mahou Shoujo animes before.(only difference was how it was presented-Urobutcher lives up to his name)
Madoka had a very cool rival battle style of Magical Girl.Much different from the Team style of Precure,it was closer to Nanoha in the sense of her having a rival,only there were more of them.
Animation was great and unique.Nothing too uncommon now and days though.
Basically Madoka had the surprise factor which made a lot of people like it.Shingeki has it too and if Akame ga Kiru was ever animated it would probably be the best in that season.
I'll tell him you liked it. He was one of the people behind Madoka.

This list hurts to read. Only redeeming parts are SSY and Fate/Zero. I can't believe Titan is even on the list only a few episodes in.
Also no Bakemonogatari, Durarara, Clannad, Spice and Wolf, NHK or Steins;Gate when K-On, Index, Strike Witches, Haganai, Hyouka, and OreImo are on it?
Yes. This list proves you are not part of the mainstream of anime fandom. In fact, you are rejected by the rest of the fans. They all hate you, and hate most of the anime you like. Soon all anime will be stuff you hate, and you'll have to spend your days locked away, watching the few pitiful animes that you still have from this time, watching them over and over and over.
Or a wide variety of people polled will result in a wide variety of animes chosen, some of which you will like and some of which you won't.

This poll wasn't done on a wide variety of fans. If anything, it was done on a niche. I suspect the people of anime.biglobe to be mostly moe fans. This isn't reflective of the "mainstream" of anime at all. From what I've seen, Shonen Jump anime is still the vast majority of anime fandom.
