Louis Vuitton has followed up on its notorious Hatsune Miku outfit with a “life-size” (158cm) figure of her wearing the same ensemble.
Aside from those who dismiss her as “just an LV mannequin,” the figure has met with a less frosty reception than Louis Vuitton’s last tangle with Miku fans – with many at least happy their virtual angel is getting the recognition she deserves.

Why is she wearing a race flag?
Because all the otaku are already finished when they look at her.
Just in case..
It's a sign that you need to slow down and see if you won.
She is the end of an indoor live-action kart racing track.
Fuck off louis vuitton, your clothes are too shit for Miku. It doesn't even look good
2nd that .. shitty costume and shoes. Where is her right hand?
Are you retarded?
Heard about anatomy??
Her right hand is behind the rest of the body, you dumbass.
Wow, such stupidity.
Wow. I'm impressed...
you mad cause you broke and shop at shitty hipster stores.
fucking wow...are you seriously boasting about wasting your hard earned money on something as trivial as a clothing item with another man's name on it? that's pretty weak sauce.
thats because its probably not _hard_ earned
It looks like she's wearing a chess board.
Keep getting ripped off. The word 'suckers' were coined for your kind.
fucking mikutards
"you mad cause you broke and shop at shitty hipster stores."
what makes you think i give a shit
I'm not a Miku fan at all, but the face looks not like Miku. Ugly face, weird killer shoes and an ugly dress. The floor in my parents kitchen has the same checkered design. Looks like she came out of the floor lol
Face?
...
Miku is faceless. I mean, she can take any face producer want, and that won't be a crime.
"the recognition she deserves"
I beg to differ. I am not a Miku fan at all, so I can easily see how all of this is nothing but cashing on on her popularity right now, just like that Domino's pizza marketing ploy. Only a blinded fanboy would fall for it... Convenient, since the target audience for all these cheap moves are precisely them.
You are being too negative. All this Cashing might be actually giving Miku some Positive impact too you know..?
I think 80% of Sankaku commentators is total retard and moron. Do you guys even APPRECIATE anything created in this earth??
For almost every topic in Sankaku, all I see is Negative comments, negative comments, negative comments..... It's so DAMN FULL of Negative Comments!! What the hell? Is this forum a container for collecting Negative Aura for some Super-Crime organization or something??
It's called asperger syndrome; the silent killer.
I think you're new here. Welcome to Sankaku, home of hating retards.
you mean the internet?
Here's the thing guys, this shit hella appeals to non-anime fans. I showed my sister, my cousin and their friends this and they loved it. Whether you think it's shit or not doesn't matter; we are the minority in this world.
No No No...! I am an anime fans, I I find this figure so appealing!!
Who sculpted this figure?? CRYPTON should hire this guy for sculpting Life Sized Miku figure in upcoming VOCALOID event!! I mean... it's totally detail and looked 100% same with THE END Opera version of Miku.
Having the top and bottom as the same pattern is horrible, maybe if the top was a open jacket instead with a simple black shirt underneath it. I think she's really cute though and her face looks nicely styled
Well..if they use that motive for Blazer or Cardigan, I think that would be nice.
A swing coat!
Also, more and better accessories.
You guys are never happy.. you guys always complain about something.. be happy she is getting attention! thats what miku wants! =D
Totally agree!! Miku being recognized by LV to the extent of making her 1:1 scale figure is something to be proud of. I wonder why there are so many stupid people bashing out left and right without even realizing this fact?
I personally think she looks really good in the outfit :3
Besides, I really like when LV teams up like this, like the line he did with Takeshi Murakami!
Well, please look at it like this...
Not all attention is good attention. Have a think about any niche thing that has gotten popular over the years, suddenly stood out, and gotten a load of deals for sequels/movies/merchandise etc.
The general rule of thumb in the world, is that the more money and big business attention that gets involved in something, the worse it gets, and more it is abused and butchered for the sake of profit.
All you love about Miku for the most part come from independent music composers and fan artists. Extra attention doesn't help these people.
Next imagine Miku becoming a household name in the future, and you hearing these lines in conversations...
"Hatsune Miku? You mean that creepy french anime fashion model?"
"Hatsane Miko? You mean that crappy movie with the green pony tail chick?"
"Hatsune Meku? You mean the McDonalds Salad Bar mascot?"
************************************
Corporate Money + Good Things = Bad things and broken dreams.
************************************
I don't mean to over hype stuff, or to imply that this one fashion thing is the herald of the apocalypse or anything, but fear of stuff like this is one of the main reasons for the backlash. No one wants to see the character they love become a corporate whore simply because she has no voice of her own to defend herself with. It's a genuine danger.
How about:
Hatsune Miku? You mean the famous Virtual Diva from Japan which have sellout concerts all around the World? And have a soldout Opera show in France, which sponsored by Louis Vuitton? And has Her 1:1 scale figure shows in LV Stores??
I think you don't have to worry about that, for now Miku game franchise is held by SEGA, who is more than enough to be trusted. I don't think any American Companies will ever able to make Miku game. And about the Companies making profit out of Her... I think that's pretty normal, that's what you call "mutual interest". The Companies gain profit from selling Miku's branded goods, while Miku herself is gaining more popularity from The Companies' promotion and advertisement. You can even grab attention from those who initially didn't know anything about Miku or Vocaloid, and slowly drags them to become Miku's fans.
It might be nice to have a Miku concert held close enough that I could actually visit it yes, but in short, I simply do not trust the world of big business to responsibly handle Miku's growing fame without detrimentally exploiting it for profit. Virtually every bad sequel, every shitty game to movie conversion, every cheap and tacky 100+ episode anime, all comes from this same problem. And Miku is just as vulnerable to being milked for cash and ruined as any other franchise. Today it might be a slightly eccentric fashion designer. Tomorrow it could be the kinds of minds that run EA games. These people don't see or understand Miku and her fans. They see flow graphs, market trends and profit margins.
It's only when the Miku name becomes profitable, that the fan composers will start receiving legal threats over copyright infringement. It's the same reason that ZUN has repeatedly refused to sell the licence rights or sign deals regarding The Touhou Project.
Because he knows, that money and big business, destroys everything it touches.
Or:
Hatsune Miku? The amazing Virtual Diva from Japan which became an icon for SEGA, Domino Pizza, Family Mart, and... Louis Vuitton?
They call her a "fashion icon" and then give her a shitty dress.
I prefer seeing dresses from her actual PV's or games.
oh wow Miku where did you get those clothes, from the toilet...store?
I don't understand why so many people here bashing this figure? I am a Miku and VOCALOID fans, and I think for a Life Sized figure, this one is Definitely a Win. At least I think it's sculpted better than the one in Narita.
It's surprisingly good!! Which Company made this figure?? LV themselves?? It's definitely better than The Life sized one in Narita Airport. So detail..and so beautiful!! I thought it was a 1/7 scale figure!
fail. god help LV if otaku ever figutre out how to make suicide vests work.
I think it looks good. It's accurate enough and she has been illustrated differently by other artists and drawn wearing different outfits, so its fine to me.
Meh. Her outfit's boring, and she sort of looks like Rosalina from Mario Galaxy, but hey. It could have been worse.
the attire aside, this is probably how Miku will look like inside Persone universe
Persona*
This Miku just reminds me of Adult Helga: Superspy from Hey Arnold! the animation. Why is that?
Outfit actually looks a bit like Rin's from the Meltdown video.
Finally some decent Miku stuff from Loose Mutton
I'm not really a miku fan, though I do enjoy her songs. As a diva, she would be fairly insulted with the look LV gave her. The face is WAY off and her pose looks so lifeless and forced. The real hatsune miku has more life in her than that shitty statue. Also, LV is a shit designer and trying to tell all the "hip kids" out there, "hey! Look at me! I'm cool too!" Which is a pretty sad cry for attention. That guy can go fuck himself with a cactus...
Louis V may well be a genuine Miku fan as far as we know. I'd actually say it's pretty likely if he did this stuff. The problem is purely that "fashion" designers in general are delusional circle jerking egotists. They're so far detached from reality and regular society that we're lucky Miku isn't wearing a Lady Gaga style ensemble here. LV must be one of the comparatively sane fashion designers. The ones whose blood is only 50% wine rather than full grape.
