    Your are right about that Luca, but you can see that they are taking this advantage way to far.
    These anime now are only based off looks and sex appealing mess. I bet nobody would even watch most these anime unless they contain fanservice. These new anime are nothing but eye candy, the viewers rarely pay attention to the actual story. That's why the anime industry has fallen, they degraded themselves to selling sex in order to get viewers.

    How are they taking advantage...? All you people talking about this being an "easy route" or "catering to the lowest common denominator" forget that there's a fucking ton of you moralists or asexuals or "serious anime fans" or crazy feminists or religious nuts... then there's the many ecchi/hentai fans who refuse to pay for something they enjoy because they don't respect it enough themselves to actually pay for their goods, so they just pirate it all. Shows like these are rarely "successful". I'm just glad the industry seems to be full of enough shameless perverts like myself so I can keep enjoying all the glorious oppai fun along with all my "serious" anime and films that are devoid of ecchi.

    Do you think "the industry" (this "entity" that's somehow been created by serious anime fans, who makes all the anime in the world and has decided on apparently only making ecchi and moe at the moment) doesn't want accolades and respect like it was gaining in the 90s? Are Mamoru Oshii, Miyazaki, Go Nagai, or Hideaki Anno busy making moe or ecchi filled anime right now? The new people in the anime industry that follow in those legendary footsteps are either failing or are being ignored even by the anime fans too busy hating on other anime fans for their tastes in anime.

    People also keep forgetting.. does anyon even remember Go Nagai? Anyone who says that most of these new oppai/ecchi anime have a plot and worthiness of being considered "good" any less acceptable than Go Nagai's oppai-filled classics, from Hirenchi Gakuen to New Cutey Honey.

    To top it all off.. why are people who are looking for a non-ecchi or general view of the current anime scene be looking for it on an ECCHI-CENTRIC blog??? And then you're surprised to get the idea that anime has "degraded to an ecchi industry"? Get your ass over to ANN and stay there, it's full of ecchi haters as well.

    Disagree. There are still anime like that, which not simply using fanservice as cheap attraction, for example the most recent is:

    1. Attack of Titan(plot/action)

    2. Ore no Sheishun (plot/ interesting main character)

    3. Devil Survivor 2(action, weird monster),

    4. Aku no Hana(dark plot)

    5. Hataraku Maou-sama(comedy)

    6. Muromi-san(bizarre comedy)

    7. Suisei no Gargantia (place setting, people surviving on the flooded earth)

    1212 - I'm in love right now with an amazing woman, a woman who meets so much of what I hoped for in a woman that I keep worrying that she's only a figment of my imaginations.     Love is actually simply explained as just an amalgamation of a bunch of good things - friendship, understanding, support, trust, caring, relating through similar interests/principals/views, chemistry, etc. That all covers the mental attraction, but a relationship also requires some amount of physical/sexual attraction, that's what helps set it apart from the love of a friendship or relative.

    To explain in (too much) detail.. I knew she was had become something special to me when I... well, as someone who faps at least 3 times a day, I was amazed to still feeling hard after that just simply chatting with her, making her laugh, and then later just thinking about her or looking at a picture of her smiling face. Only some crazy hentai was able to do that to me before! I hadn't felt like that since my early days of puberty. It's fucking amazing and I wish this experience on all non-assholes out there. When it comes to the most enjoyable sexual arousal, the mind and the heart are the most powerful tools... the hand doesn't even come close.

    The creators of anime have forgotten who they were and the watchers/viewers themselves have lost their senses and are thinking of nothing but sex related crap.

    You're also an asshole to assume people who like ecchi anime ONLY like ecchi anime. You're looking down on us for your assumption of us being stupid, uneducated, ignorant and thinking with our crotches instead of our brains. You might see a university student in a suit and tie who likes to have conversations about "deeply meaningful" anime with his friends, but after a hard day of work he not only watches anime like that but also unwinds with some ecchi as a guilty pleasure, for some laughs, fun lightheartedness, and maybe a fap. Most people have hidden fetishes and sexual tastes of their own that they keep private from the world of assholes out there.

    I love dark, edgy, cool, smart things too, but after seeing assholes like you hating on anime like this I'm getting turned off that stuff. It feels like it comes from an elitist group of snobs now, because of talk like your's. I actually like stuff like Popotan and Juuden Chan because it just makes me feel happy with its cheerful style, sincerity, comedy, and humility, and it's stories of friendship, and attractive characters. I don't analyze how well done it is or isn't compared to other anime, I simply enjoy it because on it's own it's good enough to make me happy.

    Fanservice been there for a very long time, sailor moon with very small skirt or when they tranform scene, dragon ball with bulma or other female cast and ranma 1/2 had a ton of ecchi scene even in the manga

    If I have to see censirship, I prefer it to be blatant, not "blended" in any way with light or smoke or steam. I want small, delicious pink hearts covering whatever has to be censored (the bare minimum that has to be covered, not a gigantic space taken over by a huge heart!), then it actually makes it ecchi in a different way! It's like "we've been forced to censor this, but you just know there's something tasty under these hearts! :3"
