Nippon Ichi’s Majo to Hyakkihei Finally Near

Nippon Ichi’s latest “dark fantasy” PS3 RPG is finally nearing release after having been delayed by over a year – Majo to Hyakkihei (The Witch & The Hundred Knights) is now belatedly due for a summer release.
In a sign of perhaps just how far behind the curve Nippon Ichi is these days, they say it will be their “first fully polygonal in-house title,” and it does look almost as if it belongs in this century (and certainly boasts nice artwork, mostly in the form of Bog Witch Metalica herself):
The Japanese edition is due on July 25th, whilst the US release is due in March of 2014, late enough to give PS4 titles a run for their money…

This is more like an indie niche title, can't expect it to have the amazing specs of AAA japanese games like Final Fantasy or Nintendo's stuff.
It might not be running on frostbite 3 but it looks damn good.

Explain what aspect of the 2D gave them personality beyond what3D is capable of. I'm actually curious what you think it is, because I feel the same, and yet haven't really figured out what it is. There really is no good reason beyond art direction.

Boy I sure hope this isn't one of those games where you have to GRIND OUT THE ASS in order to progress!! And if it is, I hope the story is good! I won't grind just for quirky bullshit like it was in many of the Diagaea games!
You don't need to grind at all in Disgaea. You just need to be smart and not use more characters than what you can reliably level.
