Well yeah, to us, it obviously is. But why can't we just shut up and enjoy this while we let them enjoy theirs?
Pull your head out of your ass. If anime production companies don't find a new market, it'll be "moeblob" anime from here on out. Just look at the last 5-6 years, now imagine that on into the future without the little gems of good anime. Just generic "moeblob" and "booby harem" shows. Or even remake after remake. No Gurren Lagann, no Cowboy Bebop, no more good GiTS, no Eva, no FMP, no FMA... just K-On clones clear to the "horizon".
The male-oriented otaku market is saturated and sales have essentially plateaued; there might a bit of fluctuation, but it's not statistically significant. There isn't much more "new" money to be found with them. Fujoshi are a virtually untapped market for most anime companies. And yes, they will buy it if it's something that appeals to them. Just look at the number of fujoshi circles at Comiket and how their numbers have grown. I promise you, anime companies certainly have.
Instead of whining like a spoiled brat whose just discovered that the world doesn't revolve around their wants, cheer it on. If it works, it's more money and a new market for anime companies. Will they make more fujoshi-oriented shows? Sure, but they'll also have more funds for other anime projects.

I appreciate support for Free! but you're not going to be helping it by putting down moe and ecchi anime, to be honest. I was hoping that this all wouldn't become an endless cycle of hate, but it has. Otaku are hating fujoshi because fujoshi hate on their own moe anime, and now otaku see the fujoshi as showing a double standard and are retaliating with hypocrisy. What does this mean? It means that everyone fucking sucks and none of us deserve any good things. Revel in your shit of hatred, anime fans!!!!
I wish the tone from Otaku could have been "There, now are you fujoshi happy? Now can we enjoy our moe in peace?" and the fujoshi reply "hmm, ok.. we have our shotas and you have your lolis :3" but of course, even when peace reaches out a hand, humanity prefers to shoot it.

It's a shame this season wasn't as 'serious' as the last one. More comedy and fanservice and less "why did these girls populate the graveyard" style plot answers.
I know the fights can be awesome but thus far, all we see is the MCs get their asses handed to them and a whole lotta booty. [no problem with the booty but come on, it can have both right?]
Dai Maou and Samurai Girls and Hagure Yuusha had a thicker than paper plot to work around... When will REAL Yagyuu come back! And make her as horny as Gisen to fight over Muneakira, and have him *bleep bleep* already... lol
