Miss Korea 2013 “Indistinguishable Clones”

The all but indistinguishable contestants of a “Miss Korea” contest have been the subject of considerable attention online, in no small part thanks to Korea’s reputation as a powerhouse of plastic surgery.
With Miss contests and contestants alike already seemingly hailing from a parallel universe, and with Koreans already the most surgically perfected race on the planet, there is not too much surprise about the condition of these girls – although some are some understandably suspicious that they are the same person, or to what extent overzealous Photoshop application has blended an already less than diverse group:

Look no futher than K-On, the biggest example of this - all the girls have the exact same face, and different hairstyles/eyebrows.
Also, a lot of Harem anime have tons of girls with the exact same face.
From your comment, it's evident that you never actually took the time to look at and compare the different character designs before. No two characters even have the same eye shape for god sake.
It's like saying all humans look the same becaue they all have two eyes, a nose and a mouth.

Christ, it's not just eye shapes, eyebrows, heights and hair colours that are supposed to be different.
Name an anime with characters that really have realistic variations in design. I mean from face shape and body type to the usual facial features and hair styles. Aside from the token 'fat otaku' guy or such, it'd be pretty difficult to find a show like that.
The whole art style generally suffers from characters having the same basic traits with slight variation, which isn't how real people work at all. and it'd be really hard to pull something like that off, but a lot of anime does it worse than most. To be fair, some do have better anatomy and proportions that others.
I'm not saying it should change or that it's bad, necessarily, just that it's hopeless to expect characters from a show like K-On, where all the main characters are girls in the same age group, having the main purpose of looking cute, to not resemble each other in more than one or two ways.

Yeah but Tenchi was made in a time where artists gave a shit about what they were doing and weren't so fucking lazy before all of this moe shit became ultra poplular. Now artist's just use a generalized face palette to speed things up and make a generic anime/manga to get some money.

Most *ahem* quality anime have differentiating heights, eyes, eye color, hairstyles, nose shapes (when a clearly defined nose is present, like 'Attack on Titan' where they make a point of doing this) mouth color/width, yaeba yes/no, pupil shape, ears, neck length, eyebrow shape, eye separation, expression and visible reaction speed.
At least anime has subtle differences like varied eye shape. These photos are just plain disturbing.
