it may be a little late, but I'm finally seeing Ayase's charm.
I agree, I never really liked her but this was one of the funniest episode in the whole series... I do still like kuroneko more though, but kudos for this episode.

It's worth rewatch season one again (minus the TV final episode)while waiting for new episode of this season to come. Might even pick up a few things you didn't notice when you watched it the first time...
Hm.. I won't watch it before the BDs are out anyway, so I might as well wait. Also, first season isn't an anime I will ever watch again. Maybe only the parts Kirino is in, because she's basically the only character I liked from S1.

From character designer's view, actually Ayase and Onii-san has the same feature of face.
Ayase is the male version of Kyousuke
Kyousuke is the female version of Ayase
After all, their face and hair feature is the same !
It's just your imagination.
All the girls and dudes in Oreimo have almost the same face, because the designers are fucking lazy bastards.
It's like that in most animes. There are 2 or 3 different types of faces and all that allows us to distinguish the characters is actually hair and eye color, the way they dress, voice and context.
They all pretty much have the same generic face. You can only tell them apart by the hair and eye color.
