It's true, it IS a misconception. oh god, Odette. T_T And it sucks even more that you had to fight her in four of the five characters' storylines. I remember how bad it was fighting her as Gwendolyn, but figured, lag or not, the difficulty was justified since she was her last boss.... but then I immediately fight her again as Cornelius, and I'm pretty much going "Fuck you, game! Fuck you!" Thankfully, the fight turned to be nowhere near as difficult thanks to Corny's spin attack, but the lag was still horrible.
Heard this crap was resolved in the PS2 Classics release, though. I would download it, but I'm holding out for the Japanese release (yeah, the localization has dual-audio, but I'm interested in reading the Japanese text... I mean, considering I'd be getting the game for a second time anyway, why not?).
