Oh shit. I ain't gonna lie that besides feeling sorry for the guy, I will miss the proper conclusion of ZnT...
A very very big shame on both fronts. It will be hard to live it down. Sad how frail life is.
Well, you will be missed...
T_____T
I am very shocked. Zero no Tsukaima was one of the best anime I have watched and had one of the best tsunderes that I have loved very much. RIP Yamaguchi-san. You will always be one of the best authors ever.
The last season was shit tbh. The first one was great, started going downhill on the second. Third one is ugh. But yeah, good author.
You haven't watched many animes then...
well....the ln is better
Season 1 and 2 is really good, at least to me.
SO YOUR TELLING US ZERO NO TSUKAIMA IS ONE THE BEST ANIME....
SO HOW MANY ANIMES HAVE YOU WATCHED SO FAR?
let him be, he just wants to be like " oh he died, he was one of the best manga authors ever" (for reference see apples steve jobs or MJ, they die and suddenly everyone loves them for being the best at something
>>>dude people always loved jobs
any college lecture hall in the US, so many macbooks. America circlejerks over Apple products and how Jobs was the paragon of innovative business.
but I will agree to let the guy have his opinion. ZnT was super popular at its time when Rie Kugiyama seemingly perfected the loli-tsundere lead role with consecutive hits as Shana, Louise, and Nagi.
It's HIS personal opinion, douche.
yeah, the douches like this are the very reason why we can't have a good world to live in.
probably 3.
I did like ZnT anime besides the last season. The last season was utter shit.
lol what? zero was generic as fuck
I'm a huge fan of ZnT, but I have to admit that the anime is just pure shit.
Almost every adaptation is bad.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo...........
R.I.P. You Have Left Us With A Great Anime!
its ironic how nobody cares for his original work the novel and everyone is talking about the anime.
Of course his novel was great. Perhaps it was because of the limitation. Not all can read japanese novel. Although some was translated not many know how to access them easily compare to the anime.
I think the anime also one of his achievement that should also be remembered. Not all novel could get anime adaptation and what, they're running for 4 seasons.
Most of the novels have translations up online and, starting from the ending of the second season, the anime was more of an insult to his works than anything else. It skipped several LNs, ignoring major character developments, characters, and plot elements just so that they could make the third season focus heavily on fan service. Praising him for the anime when it's a shadow of the work he put into the light novel just doesn't feel right.
I helped translate part of the ZnT LNs out of pure love of the series. Yamaguchi-sensei, you'll be missed.
Unfortunately, the anime is a lot more accessible to folks who don't read Japanese than his original work.
There exists people like me who don't read light novels and manga.
too bad then because the anime was complete shit.
the funny thing is that the Novel was very nice but the anime was a complete mess that by the end was turned into yet another generic, harem, ecchi anime.
RIP, at least he has been able to finish his LN, a lot of authors didn't have that chance. He will stay in the heart of many peoples..
He didn't, sadly. It had two more volumes to go.
He didn't, though. The last two planned volumes are still unpublished. In November he said that he planned to resume working on them once he recovered, which sadly never happened. Exactly what state he left the the scripts in is unclear.
The anime adaptation got a definitive conclusion, with his input, though.
You were the greatest, Yamaguchi-sensei! I'll miss you!
RIP, comrade!
good bye, you will be missed.
It will be my honor to go rewatch all the zero no tsukaima's season. It is the least I can do for such an amazing author of one of the BEST anime!!!! R.I.P, your work will live on.
If you really want to honour him, read the light novels instead. Starting with the ending of the second season, the anime deviated heavily from the light novels and scrapped several books worth of material just so that they could focus on fan service.
You will be missed! If there were no you exist, there will be no Rie Kugimiya, no Louis and no tsundere booming! You're legacy will be remembered among the fans across the universe.
Shakugan no Shana existed as an LN and anime before Zero no Tsukaima came about. Kugi also had plenty of other roles to showcase her talents. Louise probably helped cement her ability to voice tsundere lolis but it was definitely not her first time doing that role.
Technically, her first tsundere loli role was Hotaru from Gakuen Alice though.
Hotaru is an interesting example. I'd classify her more as a kuudere than tsun though.
May you rest in peace, Noboru Yamaguchi-san. Thank you for creating a lush world for those left behind to enjoy. Zero no Tsukaima as a LN and anime will forever live as testament to your creativity and imagination. Thank you for giving of yourself, for leaving such a wonderful mark on the world. I give you a moment of silence in respect.
May your spirit find its way to the halls of your ancestors.
R.I.P.
Damn, this sucks... (T_T) I was really rooting for him to defeat the cancer...He left us a great LN series in the form of Zero no Tsukaima, as well as the original Strike Witches novels. I also like Green Green, which Yamaguchi wrote the scenario for...RIP Yamaguchi...
horrible news :(
RIP
And thank you
2011
>Novel author Yamaguchi Noboru posted in his twitter that he will be hospitalized tomorrow and will take a major surgery in August. He said he would have been dead if he had missed the chance to take the operation. "The 21st volume of Zero no Tsukaima novel will be delayed at least for two months. Please forgive me! Damn! I'll live on. I had been desperate, but I miraculously got an opportunity to take the operation. There is a possibility of survival. I really want to live."
Why aren't the tears stopping? ;_;
"I really want to live."
Fcuk, man. Fcuk. DAMNIT MAN. ><
