Noboru Yamaguchi, the 41-year-old author of the Zero no Tsukaima light novel series, has died after a long struggle with cancer.
According to his family and publishers, his funeral was held on the 10th, although he passed away on the 4th and the sad news was only announced on the 11th.

Yamaguchi was another otaku claiming he had cancer and actually dies of AIDS. Anyway, nothing of value was lost.

I loved the anime. R.I.P I know this sounds bad but im glad he finished the series before…..well before he kicked the bucket. ZNT will always live within us man.
I will never forget my first RomCom, never!! Neither I will forget the fabulous story and detail of the world on of the Light Novels, neither I will forget you dear sir! May your soul and work rest in piece, as for me, it will always live inside of my has a precious memory of good times spent!! (hope someone can release/finish what he started with the stuff he left, at least just tell us what was his idea for the ending…)
