HOTD Back in the Grave: Restart “Just a One-off”

Highschool of the Dead fans are aghast at the news that the much anticipated restart of the manga is actually just a one-off “special publication,” with the time-frame for actual resumption “undetermined.”
The latest announcement states that the publication date of the next chapter is “undecided” (although this does at least suggest it is on the cards) leaving distressed fans to wonder how many years they will have to wait for regular serialisation to resume and how many more years it will take for enough material to sustain a new season to accumulate.
Most of the blame has been placed on the work having “one of those” mangaka – i.e. one whose fascination with eroge or IdolMaster exceeds their interest in their own creations – leaving the future of the series in continued doubt.

now I understand why Berserk went from violence, rape, gore to semi-moe garbage fused with Super Sentai with the berseker armor. I mean, half of the new cast are kids, cute witches and a mermaid that is always flashing her tits. The drastic change in direction not only took me by surprise but it blew my mind too. Berserk has become just too cute for its own good....
I disagree. The last arc was certainly not as good as those before but it was still pretty good. The only problem with it is that it separated itself from the main story when we were all excited about Griffith's army and all. The current arc will surely become on of the best with what's at stake right now.

I would like to know how much gets paid for the TERRIFIC work he did with the manga at any level: character design, storytelling, top notch artistic quality, accuracy at mechanical, weapon, vehicles and building design, etc. How much doe$ that worth??? I would love to now. I would love to now how much a CRAP artist like Eiichiro Oda is paid and how much Sato gets paid. That will solve the "mistery" for sure.

Oh c'mon! The next couple plot points are already there! Find Rei's Dad and/or Takashi's Mom, meet random stranger that dies along the way as a travel sequence, learn a life lesson, repeat.
Also, someone needs to decide whether to turn this into a Harem anime (Rei and Saeko are still fighting over Takashi, + Bimbo Nurse) or kill Saeko off as a more dramatic and serious lesson about keeping your head and not making mistakes.
That'll never happen, if Saeko dies there will be a real life hannibal lecter otaku running around Japan killing random people because he snapped that his wifeu was killed off

The article is off that the blame is on the mangaka. It's the writer Daisuke Satou that fucked up and kept the series on hiatus not just once but twice. For fuck's sake the manga started 2006 and only 29 chapters were published.
