Shinsekai Yori has complex plot and lacks of dumb jokes, no wonder it's underrated.
Not to mention that episodes were only 5 minutes long! Or so it seemed.
It was an awesome story. It started slowly but i think it was the best of the season.
Unless it redeemed itself with the ending (need to watch last 2 eps) I'd honestly say it looked like it was going to be amazing but only was good.
I will never forget episode 8 !

This show satisfyingly delivered what it suppose to deliver. Unlike many other shows this season.

From what I heard, the first two episodes are an instant turnoff. But it gets really good the rest of the way. Haven't seen it, so I'll give it a look.

I did like sakuraso but I think it should only be a little higher. Maybe under magi though it was better than tamako. not by a whole lot though. It was waay overly dramatic. Maybe you enjoyed it if you're not used to drama already. Like if you're 13 it was probably really great.

Exactly, some of the scenes/lines made me groan. Like the episode before last at the graduation: The speech was good, the crying both from the characters and the effect the show wanted to have on the audience (did they want us to cry as well?) felt forced.
tl;dr Good show, but not great.
Sakurasou was a trainwreck of forced drama. If you can honestly say that it was the best drama you've ever watched, I figure that you've only watched what, 3 shows in your whole life?
Pet really wasn't anything special, but I do agree that this list is stupid (seeing how a good amount are fall shows). But then again, winter 2013 was a disappointingly weak season.

Actually lots of good comments here. Alas, not many good shows in the list. As someone pointed out, Winter 2013 has been a weak season. It's hard to really complain about a top 25 list other than they shouldn't use the word 'top' with a number greater than 5.
Chihayafuru should be one of the top few though. OreShura should be a bit higher. Dunno why Little Busters is on the list.
I'd give Haganai NEXT top honours for the quarter, which is kind of weird since it's an absurdist, over the top harem comedy romance, but there it is.
I've never even heard of number 1...and frequent quite a few anime blogs...

This list looks like ALL of the anime titles that came out during the winter season. Oh Well, I'm actually surprised that Vivired Operation was ranked number 10 considering Japan's love of loli characters...Oh Well....

Love Live! was good in my opinion.
Out of the top 6, I watched half of them...
1. Love Live! - Was good, but not first place good.
2. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT - Didn't watch cause of the train wreck that was the first season.
3. Little Busters! - Was okay, would give it a ranking somewhere 10-15ish, not 3...
4. Minamike Tadaima - Didn't watch cause just didn't... (Haven't seen any of the others / yes I know you can watch it without them, but /meh)
5. Psycho-Pass - Wanted to watch, but never got around to starting it last season.
6. Tamako Market - Shouldn't even be on the list, it was that bad (I wish I dropped it, and out of the 21 I watched, it was my personal worst of the season).
Others that should be higher; AKB0048 (my personal favourite), Mondajitachi, Kotoura-san, GJ-Bu, Sakurasou.
