Surprising no-one, KyoAni’s hit moeblob Chuunibyou demo Koi Shitai is returning for its second season, marking a return to familiar territory.
Disparaging comments about the fate of Tamako Market aside, the announcement has provoked plenty of excitement amongst fans fearing the loss of their beloved studio to the forces of decay.
I’m pretty sure this is for the OVA which is being released in June, I also doubt a second season due to the fact that the source material is only two light novels.
It’s obviously not for the OVA in June, that one had a trailer released months ago. They wouldn’t “surprise” announce it now. Also, the first season only covered the first novel (kind of – it was a VERY loose adaptation) so there’s no reason they can’t make an entire second season based on novel 2.
