The latest PS3 instalment in the moe mix-’em-up Atelier series has just been announced as Atelier Escha & Logy, featuring two new protagonists and the same popular character designs as Ayesha.
The main change appears to be two protagonists in the form of Escha and Logy, with characters from Ayesha also making appearances.
Better motion capture and full lip-sync are also promised, for what seems likely to be the last and most graphically accomplished Atelier title on the PS3.
The game’s Japanese release will be on June 27th.

I want a male MC for once. The others were great, the series was fun, but it became a little imbalanced with the male characters just becoming pointlessly present. Sterk was the best one, but he managed to be a simultaneous badass in his armor while being completely pansy in everything else. Even his love of pidgeons was more masculine and developmental to his character than much of his dialogue. I guess people would actually get pissed if any female character ever fell for one of the male characters.
Atelier series became a ridiculous cluster of 40-year-old virgins. By the end of Totori that was fine, but by the end of the series? Come on, Gust, SOME kind of relationship would have made sense. Mimi and Totori don't count. Esty was hot as shit, even if her full name is like kryptonite to our balls.

This Atelier could've been the best game in the series if only Gust didn't have to include that bland and boring guy.

Past Atelier games had male MC's too. In fact Atelier Iris (the first one)'s MC is male.
Atelier Iris 2 had both male and female.
Atelier Iris 3 is mainly running about a male MC as well.
Then there's that female-oriented title where it pretty much looks like an otome-game. Let's not go into that realm.

I cancelled my preorder of Ayesha because I just couldn't pay full price for half a localization. I even feel guilty about it because I'm afraid they'll make it an excuse not to fully localize this one as well.
I'll get it when it drops a few bucks, since there was no benefit for getting it immediately anyway without preorder bonuses. I've only just reached Fallout New Vegas, so I'm too far behind to care about normal game releases now unless they come with pointlessly useless trinkets that make no sense why I want them.
Dafuq? If it was 'half a localisation' you'd get either English text and Japanese voice or Jap text and Eng voice.
Eng voice and text is full localisation.
Instead we got half english voice with english text. I will not argue that it's merely me being particular, but there is no argument that it is going backward from previous releases in the series. In basic customer service terms, there's no really good reason for having gone backwards in inclusions.

NISA probably didn't anticipate TK dropping Japanese voices(and hence the intro with Jpn seiyuus).
I did buy Totori Plus on PSN as it had Jpn audio. Maybe enough of us bought that game so that TK sees the light.
