Top 10 Winter 2013 Anime You Shouldn’t Have Dropped!

Though the cardinal rule of anime appears to be that a series must be dropped if it does not pick up in the first episode, some titles only pick up towards the end – leading fans to compile this “serves you right for dropping them so soon!” ranking.

People whose distaste for sports anime is so irrational they can't even appreciate one that's really good. Also people who just wanted it to be fanservice, rather than a character drama.
Strange, i never considered this a sports anime.
II would be someone who skips all sports related anime (or films for that matter), but i have to admit Chihayafuru is really good.

Little Buster is bad, dropped it after 3 eps. Not worth watching
Why should you have to wait until a series gets good, especially when its so short to begin with. If 9 out of 12 episodes are crap then you can't say you should pick it up just because the last 3 get better.
That's true, but if a series isn't really crap but is just ok, then what's the problem? It's not like the rest of the anime that are popular are any better than that all the way through to their ending?
Psycho-Pass should get first spot.

Psycho Pass is not a "instant drop" anime, compared to the list. These are the ones that people usually drop in the 1st episode.

Shin sekai yori should be on there too, so many people were scared away by episode 8.
It's sad how badly it's done, none of the others matched this one and Zetsuen in terms of storytelling.

I agree, the overall delivery is badly done. Episode 8 was a good shock factor for alot of us but, honestly, none of the characters are that interesting and the story itself is delivered poorly.
I heard a group are considering translating the novel so I might give that a shot once it comes out since it is an interesting concept.

This anime deserve at least 52 ep, it's a very nice anime.

Shin sekai yori is very good ( the art is unique ) and for fanservice, there IS boys' love in it. If you like watch it ! The art is also pretty good. ( especially the pretty boy )

I agree to an extent, but a series can redeem itself. Zetsuen for example went from a decent first half to an amazing second half. It will be remembered for its second half. Series can redeem themselves. Its a fact. Some do it better than others though.
True, a great ending does not make up for 4/5 of the rest being crap, but talking about half of a series...its a little more possible.

The nice thing with series like Zetsuen is that the bulk of the series is worth watching, if not all of it. You can't really say the same for most anime, since they're too busy trying to be like every other anime out there.

I didnt even bother watching it after the first season. Can't stand the whole airhead big breasted blonde being the one who would be the main interest.
Give it a try, 2nd season is worth watching.
