Tokyo Weather Now China Quality

Tokyo residents have been marvelling at “China quality” weather of their very own, with the annual toxic dust storms blowing in from China more spectacular than ever – although identifying it as such is apparently now too politically sensitive for the government.
The Japan Meteorological Agency has been facing accusations of attempting to play down the China connection entirely – in one widely questioned report, it insisted the yellow haze “was not” the yellow sands which blow over from China on an annual basis, as did the NHK, which refrained from using the common “yellow sands” term in favour of the entirely ambiguous “haze.”
Although the sands are a “natural” phenomenon (if the results of massive desertification on the continent and the pollutants the shroud is laden with can be considered so), with health-threatening levels of “PM2.5” pollutants now blowing over Japan, the issue is rapidly becoming yet another politically sensitive issue.

It's already gone. The crazy winds we had here in Japan blew it away only about 2 hours after it got to Tokyo.
It was pretty gross though. The news claimed it wasn't toxic, but the air was fine until that stuff blew in. Then the air reeked and the sand was constantly going in the eyes. :(
