The recent revelations that Kyoto Animation’s latest magnum opus is to be a gorgeously animated tale of lithe young men in swimming trunks have proven controversial amongst their fans, many of whom are now revolting in more ways than one – although fujoshi everywhere are doubtless ecstatic.

Traditional fans seem to regard anything other than a stream of familiar ‘blobs as a major betrayal:

People fail to see the problem here. All the media is becoming familly/female oriented. You only have to take a look at the Hollywood films, the best-seller books etc. All crap, all female-oriented crap.
Anime is now one of the last niches for men-oriented media that still remains (men oriented media tends to be clever, inspiring, beautiful, with deep meanings and messages as oposed to female oriented media). If this sells a lot, this may be the beging of the transformation of the anime in something hollywood-like. We will have animes that look like “Twilight” or “Sex in the city”, all the moe, lolikon, perversion, philosophy, literature reffernces, gore etc, will be cut out and substitued with awfull crap.
Before you judge me for my bad writting I have to say in my deffense that English is not my native languaje and I try to express myself the best I can, but I have limitations.
nvm i researched it… this isnt an anime its just a showcase think of it as an advertisement for KyoAni…
its looks homo.. i dont really like pretty boys, guys like characters from slam dunk(rukawa) are more appealing
