A Romanian boy who stabbed a young Tokyo woman in the back in a mugging has explained that “stabbing her was simpler than threatening her” and that he needed her money “as I spent all mine at the arcade.”
The 17-year-old unemployed Romanian boy resided in Tokyo’s Musashino city, and explained that “I thought I’d rob someone as I spent all my money at the arcade. It occurred to me that it would be simpler to take their money if I just stabbed them, rather than threatened them.”
He approached a 22-year-old woman who lived near him and was returning from a local convenience store one night, followed her and then stabbed her in the back, inflicting a 17cm deep wound which pierced her lung and proved fatal.
After the crime he “spent some time at a manga cafe waiting for there to be less people about.”
He also claims to have chosen his victim at random, saying “We aimed for the people walking by alone, and I stabbed a woman who passed a few times from behind.”
He was also later charged with fraudulently using bank details after trying to use her stolen cards (he apparently did not realise he needed her PIN to withdraw anything), and police are also investigating the involvement of his Japanese acquaintances, suspected of being his accomplices.
Despite the juicy prospect of tying the crimes to the scourge of video gaming, the mass media have so far been more interested in playing up his wicked and not inconveniently Korean or Chinese foreign blood, although they have so far been silent as to the details of his background.
The case has already inspired a great deal of concern and the usual bashing of the lesser barbarian races (although it seems likely the boy was born in Japan and merely has Romanian citizenship):

and here i am a Romanian living in Italy who loves anime and Japan but wondering what kind of sick Romanian would do this in another country until i figure out the mistake which is: ROMANS OR GYPSY’S ARE NOT ROMANIAN! i HATE and it kinda makes me sick when reporters make these kind of mistakes and i just wanna punch somebody :)). just kidding but it’s become too much when people instead of saying ROMANS they say ROMANIANS which degrades my people which are not angels by the way but they’re not even close to what GYPSY’S are. i live in a small town called DESIO in ITALY and i’m sick seeing GYPSY’S around here (they have a camp just outside town). they scare the crap out of me and i never even look at them unless they’re too close so i am forced to look at what they’re doing so that i can run if they try something. just to be clear: GYPSY’S ARE NOT ROMANIANS.
Man, the story here is sad and all. Poor girl got killed by some thug. Honestly though, why does race matter so much in a case like this when possibly, just guessing here, people in Japan get murdered by someone who is natively Japanese everyday or so. What makes this so different to that?
I really don’t understand why race is being brought into the whole equation of the matter. Its as if its deliberately opening the way for stereotypes, xenophobia, racism and that.
It happens here, in England. Well we’re heaving with immigrants from all four corners of the globe for one so these things are bound to happen, its just, if an incident such as this involves an “immigrant” or someone of descent from an immigrant, or related by family or such, there’s always some sort of shitstorm.
Hell, England here is quite the racist little country when it wants to be. Its usually the right wing media and nationalist sensationalist propaganda that throws these stories about but hey, not everything is all rainbows is it? 2013, not really the best of years.
They should kill off that dump s♥♥t before he have the chance to pass his gene, for the sake of humanity.
