Taiwan donated the most money out of all countries when Japan had their Tsunami. (while US gave the man-power) Taiwanese mostly have a good relationship with Japanese, don't judge the majority from a few idiots protesting.
To be fair, many Taiwanese feelings were hurt when the Japanese government decided to buy the island. Some felt that the money they donated for the earth quake was what enabled the Japanese government to make the island purchase instead of spending the money on the recovery itself, thus escalating the tension.
Relationship is pretty good aside from both of them are claiming senkaku island. While Taiwanese do protest about it, they don't go into full rioting mode.

The anti-Japanese sentiments there are worse than China. There are still daily protests at street corners, ppl handing out flyers, etc. Nearly all the civilian attempted landings are from Taiwan.
Pretty bad. The anti-Japanese protests here are continuous, unlike in Korea and China where they flare up then die down. You see them holding a banner somewhere along the streets everyday, 365 days a year, in rain and snow.
Errr, Taiwan doesn't have snow unless you're up in the mountain...
