He probably didn't like the lack of fan service and repetitious gags you normally see in a magic girl series.
An actual story line with a plot and several subtle, yet powerful, nuances probably were just too much for anon to handle. Just a guess here.
Aside from Lyrical Nanoha and Moetan fanservice isn't really as prevalent as most people seem to think.
And just because girls don't get their heads bitten off in normal magical girl shows and the mascot isn't a troll, is no reason to dismiss them as simple and repetitive.
