The guro extras accompanying the BD edition of Nitroplus eroge “Saya no Uta” have been attracting some attention for being genuinely quite grotesque – all for the benefit of “carnivorous boys,” most of whom seem quite keen to get their hands on the more meaty of the items.
The bandanna accompanies the February 28th release of “Saya no Uta – Aso BD,” a “suspense horror ADV” visual novel; aside from gore and the Nitroplus label, its main claim to fame is that it is being released on the unusual format of interactive Blu-ray disc.
I'll be honest, Saya no Uta was one of the best written eroge I've ever seen. Definately a love letter to the ghost of Lovecraft, and well-penned to boot.
I guess it's a good thing opinions are opinions and all. Personally I didn't like Saya no Uta very much, I didn't find it all that enjoyable. Was hoping for a good, creepy read, but it was just sorta boring.

"its main claim to fame is that it is being released on the unusual format of interactive Blu-ray disc."
The only thing unusual about it is that it's taken this long for them to start releasing interactive bluray discs.
All visual novels tend to run 800x600, 1024x768 and 1024x540 native, so there's no loss in visual quality and they can be purchased by a much wider audience that a standard pc release. From PC to Mac to PS3 to standalone player, their market is far greater. And, they can release "PS3 compatible" hentai titles that would never make it passed Sony's approval board.
Like I said, the only thing unusual about is how long it's taken these idiots to really cash-in on Java enabled bluray discs and your player's ability to save chapter information.
Of course not, it's being produced to sell in Japan. If you want an uncensored version you could try the JAST USA version (if they ever actually get around to releasing it), although I don't think anyone knows yet exactly how uncensored Saya's scenes are in that.
I remember when my friend gave this to me. I was going to read it for 10 minutes on my day off because I had a lot of errands to run. I finished all three endings that day...
Well about the interactive part. If this is just the english version of the visual novel... I remember it had 2 choices overall. However the story and the music make it worthwhile.
There were 3! Well, there were two points where you could make choices. But the first point was either first ending/game continues and the other one was 2nd ending/third ending.
It's kind of weird to see the term "guro" used in this fashion. It's not wrong, but I'm so used to using it exclusively to refer to ero-guro that when I saw the headlines I was expecting to see they added gore-porn to the game. Too bad this probably isn't the version getting the official English release (although that would explain why it's taking forever.)
why did you post a picture of my lunch?
Because it is delicious.
I'll be honest, Saya no Uta was one of the best written eroge I've ever seen. Definately a love letter to the ghost of Lovecraft, and well-penned to boot.
It was poor as an Eroge though. As a VN, it was nice.
I agree with Momo.
I'm glad you do, Momo!
I agree with Momo whose agreed with another Momo.
M-my Mo-Mind just Momo Exploded, momo? now excuse me while i go scrape my momo off the inside of my momo, momo~...
I agree to Momo.
well, it was Gen Urobuchi's work, so it must be awesome
I couldn't fap to it. Not enough meatvision.

looks lame
it was okay, started off nice but was a bit too short and ending is lackign
What ending did you get? The first "good" ending definitely gives that lacking feel, but I found the other endings were much better.
Nah, like Eroge it sucked to much, but like VN it was awesome.
And of encouraing DEMONIC SHITS!
FUCK JAPAN AND THEIR SHITS!
YOU ALL FUCKING BETRAYING SCUM SHITS!
Don't you get tired of doing that every day.
A chuuni never gets tired of it. They grow out of it. Hopefully.
Father Anderson is more eloquent than this guy.

Hello again.
This and Stein's Gate makes you truly enjoy visual novels.
Steins;gate was kind of boring after a while, but I agree about this Saya no Uta
And a lot of other Galge. Sometimes make you cry. ;_;
Also, hi Momo.
you know there is something wrong with when you look closely to that pic and "guro? see nothing wrong with these red tentacles".

Probably the closest we will ever get to an anime.
a world of flesh and guts...for me great vn, ok there are some (or a lot?) disturbing scenes but the story is very good and the ost is awesome ;)
That feel when there is an actual comic book based on Saya no Uta but a single one manga adaptation.
Is the half-torso meat man fuckable?
If there is a God
Let there be an anime of this
Never seen anything like this before. This is scary stuff!
Interactive BD = Eroge I can play on my PS3. Awesome.
Great VN!!
Looks like Mexican Food. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YNCZ9N64cMU/Tgd1yOOrU2I/AAAAAAAAAAk/HfLBmbsynt8/s1600/Mixiotes-de-carnero.jpg
Blu-ray...Does that means it's gonna be uncensored?
It would be sweet if that's the case.

Awesome! I love this VN.
This game is fucktastic! its awesome!
Incubator approved.
Now the Japanese can publicly display their love for guro.
