Samurai Champloo is boring. just kinda feels like a whole show of filler but it may have some good fights dont know thou cant get thru it every time i try i end up doing something else.
haha Mugen's "Break dance" fighting is awesome. My favorite episode is the "Weed" episode.
Gintama also got a good fighting scene
ya good fighting scenes but not the best fighting scenes.
Where's K-ON?
personally i found the gintoki and katsura vs the harusame pirates in the benizakura arc to be the best back to back bad ass animation i have ever seen.

Yes. But that actually is a bad thing if you think deeply about it. It means Japan WAS aware of its existence, thus, making its absence from other lists even worse than it was when they were published. So... good for it being on the list, but now japanese otakus left themselves even more in shame than before.
Honestly, I don't care about their opinions. I'm just shocked it was even on their radar to begin with.

Don't get me wrong, I love the series, but fights were all won with hot-blood and deus ex machina. Not its strongest point.

You didn't watch TTGL to say this.
Well, TTGL fights are entertaining, but the entertainment comes more from its setting, the drama, the characters, etc. The show makes you feel pumped up, so even a simple punch makes you go "FUCK YEA"
Not saying the fighting is bad or the show is bad, but without the whole experience, just looking at the fighting itself, it just isn't the same.
Try this: watch it with the sound off, and fast forward/skip when it's the characters talking/showing off to set up just why TTGL/Simon is so awesome, and he's about to awesomely kick ass.
No more Simon making badass speeches

No more shouting your moves on the top of your lungs.
And the robots throwing galaxies remain intact
yea but every time i try to watch TTGL without sound i already know what its supposed to sound like so i still get pumped. :(
Agreed. No Hokuto no Ken, no Gurren Lagann,. No G-Gundam, or Casshern, Or DBZ or Outlaw Star. This list has Cowboy Bebop, but it's number 10 when it should be top 3.

.. seriously? Girls und Panzer ? The "battles"(if we can even call them that) are subpar and predictable at best.
Same can be said about quite a few others.
They're just plain idiotic. Russians had more tanks, much better tanks, much better position and their lolis were cuter, but they still have lost!

No Nanoha? no go. No Macross Frontier? No go........what the....Macross Do You Remember Love? ok, they got one right at least.
Macross Plus admittedly belongs where it is. It has the best animated battles of any Macross to date, hands down.
Frontier is probably just further down the list, but really it's no Plus.
This. Macross Plus (movie version) has undeniably one of the most GAR scenes in anime history.
May be true, may not be but the only reason Macross Plus is on the list is because it came out on bluray recently. Any Japan list is dominated by what has been released in the past year or so.
BTW, the Frontier movies blow away anything Macross has ever done. The Daedalus attack in that is god-like. I'd also put up Klan's revenge on the Bajira from the series higher than anything in Plus.
It's probably combined with nostalgia factor considering Plus was the first Macross to use CGI to animate fight scenes. But the 2 Frontier movies battles are just pure epicness.
Nanoha was mainly "KABOOM."
