Black Lagoon Finally Restarts

Almost a hiatus of some 3 years top gun play manga Black Lagoon has finally restarted, much to the delight of its many fans.
Along with the main manga’s serialisation (starting in the February issue of Sunday GX), a one-off “BLACK LAGOON (re)Starter Book” has also been released with it, containing some new material along with a synopsis for such reprobates as have forgotten the plot.
With the recent re-airing of the show on Tokyo MX (coming just after the popular and distinctly similar Jormungand), there appears to be a great deal of appetite for a new season – although it looks as though this will have to wait a while longer for the manga to build up some new material.
In related news, Rei Hiroe‘s own recent C83 doujinshi has been proving popular amongst fans whilst they wait for the new season – interestingly, it depicts the cast as actors in a movie (although Hiroe is at pains to point out that Black Lagoon does not depict a Hollywood movie, despite the ominous similarities):

I'm happy that it's returned instead (rather than not at all), but the wait for a new anime season will be painful.
I rememeber being very disappointed with the changes in Roberta's Bloody Trail. So, i guess i can live with not waiting for the next anime incarnation.

Its just a shame because Hiroe Rei stopped making them because he didn't like how everyone kept reading his manga for free online.

Considering that Hiroe hasn't missed any Comiket at all for the past few years, that was such a lame excuse for not wanting to continue the series. He was just slacking off and has far less interest in keep the series going. He is the same as Sadamoto, Nagano, Takaya, Fujishima, Miura...etc, etc, etc. who lacks inspiration to keep the series going but at the same time that doesn't want to end it because that he can still milk money out of it. If anyone is paying attention that Hiroe conveniently missed the chapters during the month before Comiket.
That's quite strange. Black Lagoon has even been published in my home country, which boasts an exceedingly tiny history of manga translations. A list I found mentions about 60 titles in total, so even if it's missing a few, it tells enough of the situation. What I'm trying to say is that if Black Lagoon is published even here, it's surely a whole lot better off than great many other series.

It's sad on one hand but fuck he's still has one of the best and unique mangas in a long time. People have just been waiting for it because he left it so wide up for the next lot of stories to be told.
But hey everyone has to bend make compromises to make a living some times and Burke is just another example.

And that is why we buy our manga... because we can and should. I borrowed them from a friend at least once I purchased the first two when I needed to finish them. Be picking them up next convention. Only recently had the pleasure of reading it, so this news makes me exceptionally happy.

It's true. I went on NISA and made a thread when Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko was said to have subs locked to the on position. Which truly angered me. The japanese having shitty abilities to play the economic game is no excuse to fuck us over because their customers are smart and patient enough to have it released over here in two languages for much cheaper.
Thankfully we have the little plastic bags for protection during storage, so... I can live with the paper... and online scanslations as backups.
I just wish over here in the US I didn't get screwed over on the price when they're using inferior paper.
