That's like saying "just make it a hentai!" for an ecchi anime. It's the same as the idea that a lot of people find (skimpy) clothing to be more sexy than nudity.
I wonder if a console video game developer could ever do that, though? Make an Eroge on the PC that's based on their console series (because it's basically common sense now that Japanese developers, unlike American developers, can never get away with even showing nipples in console video games, for some reason, right?). The reverse has happened many times, where a PC eroge gets a toned down console release, but the opposite has never happened and I'm pretty sure that it never will.
And when will people realize that Dead or Alive has become a tournament viable fighting game series, already? Or are most people just simply not bright enough to get their heads past the ecchi?
I understand it's a fighting game but how many people play for the fighting aspect of it?
Probably fucking no one. It's just eye candy, that's all. I'm sure it started as a legit attempt to make people say "Hey a fighting game with hot chicks. Cool!" But it's devolved into "Have your favorite characters spread out on a beach towel and fap vigorously to them. Don't forget your tears to work as lube!"
Saying the franchise isn't anything but eye candy now is laughable.

Well, I for one play it for more than fanservice. I head out to tournaments for it every month and it's been one of my greatest video game experiences.
This week they're even updating the game with a patch that tweeks hundreds of gameplay details to make it even more tighter gameplay-wise. How the hell is the T&A the only thing being focused on for this game? Just because that's one of the things they're promoting doesn't mean that's all the developers are working on. I mean, is Ghost in the Shell just a bunch of pretty pictures of a cyberpunk Tokyo and cyborg nipples?
