The revelation that Saki mangaka Ritsu Kobayashi lives a “total hikikomori” lifestyle and has never even met most of the assistants, editors and animators responsible for realising the mahjong nopan empire Saki has become has come as a surprise to many.
From a recent interview with Ritsu Kobayashi (or Ritz), a mangaka so impressively reclusive that even his or her gender is not conclusively known (female is suspected):
How do you work with your assistants at present?
The people who help with preparing my manuscripts all work with me via email.
I’ve never met most of them. I also confer with my editors over email, so I hardly ever meet them either.
For the anime version I occasionally see what they have prepared over there.
I also exchange data with Aguri Igarashi [female mangaka, best known for Bamboo Blade, who draws Episode of Side A] via email.
I spend my days alone at home drawing. I go out alone and walk around some times to take reference photographs.
Kobayashi’s combination of near total hikikomori status and a successful career (not something typically associated with the hikikomori lifestyle) has actually attracted some cautious praise, although it has also been pointed out that it may represent “a highly efficient work style rather than efforts to avoid human contact.”
So how about some help from 4-chan 2-chan 3-chan 5-chan 235-chan and anynomous for finding the gang stalker and gas lighter network to expose them and put a stop to us being killed in our houses by people setting them selves up as god using microwave ovens and microwave cannons to kill all the people in buildings and houses? Anynomous maybe can do it? They are making the stay in bedroom live in people world wide after all, its not a disease or psychological disorder its caused by thoes nefarious people networked together to victimize people in the privacy of their own homes.
Who the f♥♥k supports hikikomori? Someone’s gotta pay the rent or the Hikikomori would be on the street as a BUM.
The last statement may be true, I recently heard that the creator of OP only sleeps for three hours or so a day (well, “night”). But I don’t know if this one works for a weekly or monthly magazine, although the effort may be the same anyway.
The term hikikomori might need a new designation. Those poor souls could be held prisoner by the ones we call Gang Stalkers and Gas Lighters. I found out recently I too have been held hostage and they even put microwave cannons at the house next door spraying across my front porch preventing me from even watering the plants (now dead). They also set them all across the bathroom so I throw up any time I go to brush my teeth or shave ect.
Japan might want to look into giving privcy invasion bug detectors that can detect microwave signals from low frequency .5 ghz to 13.7 ghz to all people in all houses rather they are on the registry or not. I believe I found the root of how they were made but like others they found manga and anime to stay alive iwth along with mmos which didnt exist in the 1980s when it 1st became so powerful. SO, the ones who were supposed to commit sucicde, same as here in the USA, contiue to find a spot they are not bothered and live.
His lifestyle is his choice, I can’t help but feel sorry for him.
