Even normally tolerant SAO fans have been stuck picking apart the innumerable plot holes and anime battle clichés the 23rd episode’s thrilling climax finds itself riven with – the conclusion being that “it is best not to think to hard about what you’re watching with SAO,” not the first time such complaints have been made…
Fortunately there are the usual stream of omake available to distract from excess analysis of the plot:

As long as it has plot holes, i don't care about entretainment
Do you mean "Plot Grand Canyons"?
I'm okay as long as there's a profuse amount of hentai in it
I will fill those plot holes with my dick.
You, sir, just made my day.
Plot hoes indeed.
that hole so big. your small dick may not fit that hole.
Satan, guide your cock!?
Must... remember... PSX COdes!!!
yup yup good one sir!
I don't know if its because I've read the books, but i don't see any plot holes. Everything has made sense for me.
Accel world has huge plot holes as well.
The 10,000x time acceleration is not possible neural biology specifically the fact nerve impulses can only travel so fast would not allow it.
its anime
illogical by irl standard is not plot holes
that's why i hate nowadays
everything is cliche already
and when we have new idea, people damn it for being illogical by irl standard
worst that every little thing is discussed by 'internet professor' to become complicated
its anime ffs
want logic, just go and watch documentary national geographic, history channel and so on
it actually IS possible, but not without MAJOR damage from long term use. the brain has its own time keeper that functions very similar to a clock (nerve impulses at regular intervals that are faster when younger, and slow down as we get older (which is why trips seem to take so long as i child but are in a flash as a adul)) look up Suprachiasmatic nucleus and circadian rhythms. they determin our perception of night/day/season, when to sleep, when to get up, how we age and so on. it is POSSIBLE to alter its speed. you could double it, or even triple its speed which then effects the entire body. everything from cell division to memory processing is effected by it. speeding it up to 1k-10k would kill you in less then a few min. your body would completely fall out of sync. but 2-3x is possible (with the downside of aging 2-3x faster)
You could also download someones memory into a computer, where their neural pathways are mimicked and they can do things at 10k but once again you run into the issue of when they log out, the brain accepting and processing all the info gained, and forming proper pathways fast enough so that no memories or information is lost
I salute you
I could not had said it better
"Plot holes" and "Sci-Fi". Learn the difference, it could save your life.
Tried Mocha at starbucks, not very effective, what recommendation?
part of the point was that it was not in the brain, if I recall correctly.
In Sci-Fi They are NOT called Plot Holes ... They are called -> Story driven Space Quantum Singularity Devices <- like like Coffee at Starbucks but with less impact to your daily wake up call
I preferred the manga to AW over the anime, for me the anime was simply boring and was promptly dropped around episode 12.
Time is moving the same, it's your brain moving faster. Take some speed and come back to me on this.
SAO was OK, even really good in some ways, AO is a piece of shit - there's only so much Neo one can stomach.
disgusting even... there's only so much self-insertion fantasy that can be made without wrecking the plot. They should've added more material and plugged the plot holes in SAO, maybe even made it a sad ending - but a victory beyond just pure willpower. I mean why did the guy even stand there so Kirito could stab him reaaaaal slowly once he decided 'nope, I'm not dead.'
Srsly, I stopped watching the episode of the diplomatic meeting, but I should've stopped at the end of SAO.
Also, some of the art in AO is ok, but its cheesier than SAO (crossing the line from quaint to cheesy) and the wings look lame.
He stood there when Kirito decided to deny "reality" and continue to fight because his entire purpose for creating the lockdown on the players was to watch and understand the human mind and its capabilities. He was the true face of science as he died; one who throws poo at the face of danger and waits around to see what happens.
I mean - Kirito walking straight into the ambush so people could fail to hack down his regen - awesome if you like that sort of thing.
Kirito beating the best fighter in a whole new game JUST because he has to be Gary Stu for the umpteenth time (oh right, his little sister handed him an extra blade after he took the best player's best shot at point blank)? Super lame.
Asseye retards everywhere.
wait... what plot holes? everything in this ep was in the novel, the only major thing they skipped was going under the world tree
nobody is saying it's different from the novel, just that a story that revolves around randomly powering up and "just cuz" scenes doesn't make for a coherent plot.
i think youll find there was no actual "sudden powerup" within the novel kirito had his SAO stats from the get go plus his speed making him a 1 hit wonder. what i didnt like was how the anime rushed through the tower part and for some reason gave him that 2 handed trust attack as if it were a skill, when skills dont exist in ALO ...yet. in the novel they spend longer getting back up to the top and kirito doesnt thrust through them but swings wildly like a psyco leaving halv the support forces in total awe.
i would have loved watching him slash trough them and not that boring charger
They should have gone with the psycho slashing then. This... whatever the hell it was, came out of nowhere.
Yeah, keeping your stats from an earlier game? That's cheating.
I guess his leaving the support forces in 'total awe' makes him even more of a Gary Stu than before.
Enjoy Sir, somehow...
I've come to the conclusion that as the second to last episode, they have to just drop certain details and go for the most dynamic scenes(Even if they were used in every other anime)
Power ups just beause............*cough*naruto*cough*dragonball
Wait what.. you mean that Bleach doesn't have a coherent plot? Blasphemy!
Someone putting a gun to your head to watch it then?
With that logic your saying that almost every T.V. Show in existence has someone pointing a gun to our heads and making us watch..
The CIA has been know to put a gun to people's head before.Barney and Sesame Street tend to be the favorites. Maybe one day an agent will make prisoners watch Chinese cartoons instead like Precure or something.
A certain scene in clockwork orange comes to mind.
Usualy "plot holes" = "watched by asseye retard".
Overhyped stuff usually end like that, although I admit the premise on first episodes was nice.
I dont know which plotholes you all are talking about.
I still can't get over the ANIME-WINGS-LOL.
But I should just follow the advice of the otaku and just not think about it. Mindless drone mode.
I haven't read the light novels. As such, I'm thoroughly enjoying the anime. I'm deliberately holding off on reading the novels because I don't want to ruin the experience I'm currently having with the show.
Once the anime has ended, I intend to go back and read all the novels. I'm not sure how many people watch 'Game of Thrones' but for me it's the same concept. I'm deliberately putting off the books so I don't ruin the enjoyment I'm deriving from the shows.
As long as it has Sugu,onii-chan really care about her.
Last pic is almost a win (for pure win it needed to be 100% naked).
Not having ever read the light novel/manga/we, it's a good anime. Not great, just good.
Ahoy there! I see them plot holes, the pot holes ahead!!
they should've planned more episodes for the story to be more develloped, it's a shame...
I'm just in it for Suguha's tits
the whole show's dumb. it's almost like it's trying to fill in every genre in the end just sucks it's not even anywhere good in all the genre it's trying to fill.
