Hopefully it's better than Strike Witches.

Hopefully I can describe it to friends as something other than somebody's very weird and very specific fetish.

"Okay, so it's set during an alternate WW2 and young girls from all over the world are fighting aliens using magic-powered leg extensions and the girls grow animal ears/tails when using magic and none of the girls wear pants or bottoms."

Probably the only thing I'm really interested in watching is Yamakan's Senyuu (#8 on the list). I'm hoping it outsells Kyoani's Tamako Market, just for the irony and the lulz (though very unlikely to happen). Cautiously optimistic about the rest.

Poor Yamakan...all the anime he works on are doomed to fail.

    Saving anime indeed.

seconded. Never read the light novel, but I look forward to the manga adaption every month. I'd be willing to say it's one of my current favorites.

of course, I preferred the comedic segments of the last Im@s show.

Would be quite silly if art kept going back to previous eras, making advancements (good and bad) impossible. This cycle's gonna be replaced eventually as well.

It's not as if there were no moe stuff back then. They just don't stay in mainstream memory as long.

Yes!, there was moe back then.. just not as much, or mainstream.

15:25 Better start building a time machine. For me, i like progress... And there has been LOT'S. But i suck to be you! (lol).

eh... you really shouldn't call moe "progress", since moe distracts the audience from a complete lack of progress in story telling. i suppose it is ok for you to like moe, since after all, there is nothing wrong to like having your raging hormones exploited. but in order to be acknowledged as a human being, you need at least enough intelligence and self-awareness to recognize that moe is nothing but a cheap trick and an exploitation of instincts.

There are far more shows that come out per season then back in the 80's and 90's so obviously there would be more moe shows now then then. I watch about 20 shows per season and I mostly watch the shows that have a decent story. ( do watch comedies also)

Everyone,if there anyone who have watch the interview of studio 4c which make the berserk movie ,they are making the trilogy using 2d and 3d graphic together. That the reason why they can make the trilogy of the golden arc within a single year,it because this technology make making the movie cheap and fast. There is many studio testing this technology too but it still pretty new,if studio 4c perfect this technology with more future berserk movie anime could be make faster and cheaper while maintaining high standard. Artefact have said it himself before,if 3d graphic could be prefect then anime could be make cheaper and faster, using miku as a example.I think that the second golden age of anime is coming, with the berserk movie as a vanguard.Just be patience everyone, the result of our loyalty will come soon with the second golden age.
