Police Drop Charges Against Schoolgirl Rapist Cop

Police have declined to press charges against an officer who used his police badge to pluck a girl off the street and make her accompany him back to a love hotel in order to “help me with my inquiries into schoolgirl prostitution,” astounding those who still expect the Japanese police to obey the law rather than just enforce it.
According to police, the 26-year-old police sergeant approached a 17-year-old girl walking home in Chiba prefecture’s Matsudo city, flashed his police ID at her and told her “I’m investigating a case of enjo kousai [prostitution], would you come with me as I have some questions for you?”
He then made her accompany him to a nearby love hotel, with the intention of having sex with her there, although she managed to break off the encounter in the lobby.
He was off-duty and out of uniform when the incident occurred, but did apparently use his real ID.
The incident came to light as soon as his victim returned home and told her parents, who contacted police. The officer responsible was identified from surveillance cameras in the hotel lobby, and he was later arrested and charged with kidnapping.
Police say that as he only kidnapped the girl and did not get to have sex with her, charges of attempted rape or indecent assault do not apply.
The officer admitted the charges, saying “I took her there so I could commit indecent acts on her.”
Police also report at least 3 similar incidents involving an assailant using a police ID in the area in the weeks leading up to his arrest.
Despite all this, prosecutors dropped all the charges against him, claiming his victim has declined to press charges.
Disgust at the unwillingness of police to submit to the same laws they claim to enforce has been boiling over yet again:
“So they bullied the girl into dropping the charges?”
“Either that or they bribed them.”
“Rape is legal for police officers?”
“What an amazing profession – you can try to rape girls and they just drop the charges against you.”
“How does anyone expect an excuse like that to lead to sex?”
“Useless cops never punish their own.”
“The cops have turned into a criminal organisation.”
“They are Japan’s largest crime syndicate!”
“I am amazed you can even decline to press charges for something this serious.”
“This reminds me of the recent case where the police arrested a man for stalking after he gave a love letter to a woman working at a convenience store.”
“I’m no legal expert but I’m sure a case like this should be able to go ahead whether the victim wants to press charges or not.”
“She’s even a minor for God’s sake. Try kidnapping a girl off the street and what do you expect would happen to you?”
“They arrest underage couples who are actually dating and let something like this go…”
“You can just get away with using your police ID to commit crimes now? Japan has become lower than Mexico. This isn’t even funny…”
“There must be scores of people who’d do whatever you want if you flash a police badge at them. You can’t expect to let him get off on this!”
“This is the same as if he flashed his gun at her. It’s criminal coercion either way.”
“How many different crimes could you wring out of this? Just falsely using his badge is surely a crime, and I doubt you need a criminal complaint to prosecute.”
“This is outrageous. How can an adult make a child drop charges against him?”
“Cops and teachers just get to do whatever they want, don’t they?”
“If a civilian did something like this their life would be over already…”
“Even if you discount the attempted rape, this is still kidnapping. How can they not prosecute?”
“Corrupt police are supposed to be severely punished – just how rotten are these cops now!”
“He hasn’t even had to quit being a cop…”

so how many of these incidents have actually gone un mentioned. i bet the other cops were laughing at him in the break room and offering advice on how not to get caught next time.
This is why Japan's crime rate is so low. :3
And yet in spite of all this, the Japanese are content to passively fume online behind the veil of anonymity.
I imagine if this kind of abuse of authority were as widespread in any other country, there would be vigilante groups running amok gunning down the teachers and police officers who were let off the hook.
So..........
Lets go on a man hunt for someone who asked a girl for directions to a public place, but let cops get off for kidnapping, sexual harassment, and rape. Okay Japan. You're doing it right.
lol I was thinking the same thing. If your a male, and see a schoolgirl, and walk away without going any nearer, your in shit, but if you flash a badge, your ok to rape her all night long.............. This is sooo wrong.
Maybe the girl was not in her uniform, so they didn't take seriously
well, their police state DOES somehow have less crime than western nations, and it seems that... to some degree, thanks to the observation of locals... those statistics can be believed.
By which I mean the police having too much power makes people very timid. Or maybe it's thanks to their culture, the Yakuzu get away with a lot after all.
There's plenty of widespread abuse of authority in many other countries. Most regular citizens still can't do anything about it. Even if they tried, they're dismissed as little more than nutcases, and locked up.
The whole problem is how laws and rules that we're expected to follow often don't apply to the people enforcing those laws. It's a stupid system.
The law is supposed to apply to police as well.
Yes because the police is supposed to be apart of the law but i guess "power corrupts people"
I DON'T DON'T WHAT IS MORE STUPID. They arrested lovely couples that actually love each other, referring to the teacher x Student cases, yet the police are EXCEPTIONS. Ishihara never did anything for this, I'm glad he's gone.
dude would be fired in America, and he would be on broadcast news in prime time. The police agency would come under fire, and probabbly have lawyers, civil rights activists, and angry protestors. People get aggro in this country.
This cop is a cunt and so are all his douchebag co-workers.
Thanks for pointing that out. I'm glad I'm not the only person that was thinking that.
Upvoted!
That only happens in the movies or videogames. The reality that you will get ass raped in prison stop most people.
except it's more annoying in Japan because the guys are fucking beta-males. Nobody waits to hear about a short as scrawny jap fuck raping a weak minded passive jap woman.
fucking beta-society like Japan deserves to fall.
Well look at you online keyboard warrior. Because that's what alpha males do right? Talking shit about other people anonymously on the internet.
They just didn't have the manpower to investigate more thoroughly after chasing all those people asking for the way to the station.
Japan has one of the most fucked police force within a 1st world country. Cops get away with literally anything. Same shit applies to the fucks they call teachers. Unless the media within a different country decides to tell the world about the news it just gets put off. You can't defend a failing police force when they aren't even policing shit.
“The cops have turned into a criminal organisation.”
Nope, they've always been.
My desire to become a cop has risen.
If you mean a cop in Japan, I agree. But you try to pull this bullshit as a cop somewhere else and they'll be all too happy to crucify your ass.
No, not really. Japan is on its own level for sure, but in the US and pretty much all of western and central Europe you'd get away with more or less a slap on the wrist too.
Case in point: in Germany a judge and a public prosecutor are currently in the process of succeeding not only to get away scot-free with having raped several 13-15 year old forced child-prostitutes (German citizens born to German parents no less) and perverting the course of justice by shielding their kidnappers, but also to get said girls convicted of defamation.
Addendum: I'm not trying to imply it's any better in eastern Europe or Africa or any developing country for that matter, in fact its much worse there, but this shit does happen even in the most developed western countries.
Witnesses in the US to major cases have something strange in common. They all decide very quickly to kill themselves.
Lawsuits are pretty much the only way corrupt police often see justice in the US.
@Kan Ika
What part of the US do _YOU_ live in then? American fuzz gets away with police brutality all the time. And civil lawsuits won't go anywhere if the criminal charges against the offending officers have been dropped, even in the US.
South America & Eastern Europe would be the easiest places to get away with shit like this.
What the hell part of the US do YOU live in (if you live in the US at all)? This is the most lawsuit-crazy country in the world, and police brutality/rape/etc... is no exception to this rule.
The cops in the usa who are mafia cops leave no witnesses and kill their victems familys using directed enery weapons and microwaves installed in their bedroom ceilings and walls.
nah, happens in my country too. and it always ends with "not enough evidence"
People in Japan lack the ability to easily sue the government and large companies like the US and Western Europe.
It's due to the crappy court system they have which makes even the cluster fuck we have in the US look like a finely tuned machine.
Until very recently there was no jury in Japanese courts.
Are you implying a jury is something desirable?
Orlando,Florida Police Officer Roderick Johnson allegedly did exactly the same thing that Justice, Illinois PD Officer Carmen Scardine was confirmed to have done: He is accused of taking a woman into custody and forcing himself on her sexually. Johnson has been arrested and charged with sexual battery by a law enforcement officer, a felony. Scardine, on the other hand, remains at large and in uniform.
Justification by comparison is a waste of time. The only purpose of comparison is to make yourself feel better by believing your country is "better". Problems are problems. The rest is irrelevant.
There was a case in one of the Western countries where a teenage girl was raped by her own lawyer in the elevator of a courthouse on their way to some kind of minor offense trial. I can't seem to find it now, but everyone should be aware that such incidents occur everywhere.
People in positions of power often abuse it. It's that simple. With power comes responsibility, and quite frankly, humans suck at being responsible. They go into denial to avoid feeling bad, and often aim for the easy way out. Recipe for failure.
@01:57 Wait? Does that mean I should doubt what you wrote, too?
Don't believe everything you read online.
well...
it's a country where a robber can sue the homeowner for injuries he got while breaking in. so what more do you expect...?
Seriously I'm beggining to wonder if being in some kind of high label profession in Japan somehow gives you some kind of stat boost that makes them think raping little kids is a new skill.
Kinda like:
Average Man has evolved to Teacher!
Teacher is trying to learn a new move but it has to forget another to learn it.
*New Move: RAPE*
What would you like it to forget?
Work
>Flirt
Eat
Sleep
Wonder what profession is the best.
Japanese school teacher, Japanese cop, or Catholic priest.
as we say with with a friend in co-op games : "time to sow JUSTICE !"
im still decided to be a male jav artist lol
Meh, this is nothing compared to the corruption in US. No surprise that US is ranked below Japan again in the corruption index.
Problem is corruption itself is hard to measure when you don't know about corruption in the first place since those who are corrupt are the ones controlling information. Japan lately has been consecutively unveiled to skew it's statistics, specifically crime, by a large margin. So who knows how deep the corruption is.
Same with UK over here. Only more recently has our government and civil services been exposed for their corruption behind the scenes. I guess those living in so called first world countries where "free" lifestyle and human rights are a staple seem to be more ignorant about their own countries uglyness. It's ironic those with extremely bad governments have quite overt corruptness and makes it easier for the people to survive around it. Where as we who live in such comforts of our homes know little or given the illusion that our government/country are much better than others...Kind of a lose lose situation wherever huh?
Nah.
I'm one of the least patriotic folk you can find but I have to admit I'd rather remain here than live in Japan mostly because of their politics.
The US criminal justice system is notoriously corrupt but Japan's doesn't seem any better.
HAHAHAHAHA, don't compare third world country to first world country.
USA is fucking disgusting place to live.
You people are disgusting.
In Japan:
Police: kidnap, rape whoever and whenever you want - at best you get slap on wrist when/IF someone accuse you.
Teachers: rape whoever and whenever you want - at best you get slap on wrist when/IF someone accuse you.
Ordinary citizen: you go to jail for as much as walking the same street with JK.
Teachers get promotions if they're old enough.
Kidnapping is mostly done by the Japanese Immigration Bureau vs normal police.
The Japanese Immigration Bureau is so corrupt they make the notoriously corrupt US Immigration Bureau look like a shining example of honesty and openness.
