For Sword Art Online fans it seems things keep getting better and better – after a full episode of tentacle service, the next episode comes back packed full of further “godly” action – and even some plot.
While I don't deny that could be the case, what drew me personally to SAO was it's depiction of the societal pressures brought about in isolating 10k people inside a video game. People murdered others because they may not have thought it possible to kill them in a video game, only to get logged out at the end and face the reality. There's actually a lot to think about.
Loved this episode!! Suga... poor girl!! "I betrayed my own heart" :( Very sad indeed. But - I'm rooting for Asuna and Kirito. They formed a much stronger bond in the game where death was real and every day was borrowed time.
Kirito and Asuna's situations are so desperate. Serious anxiety attacks watching this show! :D
hahaha nah i dont like the asuna x kirito couple myself IRL shes not as cool as she is in game. now the kirito x shino couple is a great mix sugu coming in closely behind hahaha.
I think I'am in love with sword art online Sugu. She is one of most love anime character in the series. Even Asuna is nothing compare to Sugu. Sugu in episode 22 make me want to be her soul mate. When she reveal her true feel to Kirito-kun. I wish i was him to hug Sugu. Call me crazy But it a really. I having feeling and falling for Sugu, because she beautiful, cute and everything I love about her character. Thank you for this anime for creating a wonderful anime series. Keep up the good work. Sugu I love You!
Why? What difference does it make whether they're blood-related or not? They were born and raised as brother and sister for so many years they're practically siblings through memories. Whether she started developing feelings for him before or after she knew the truth of them being cousins doesn't cancel out the fact that it's still extremely wrong and should be looked down upon.
I don't know, maybe I'm just talking through my own experiences and limits with my imouto, but I just don't see how using the 'he's not actually my brother' card brings anything to the story. It's still forbidden love.
That ending just made me facepalm so hard. Plus from what I hear each of them angel things earlier in the episode was equivilent to a level 60 raid boss, if alone he can do that well then how the hell hasn't it been cleared? And how can 1 single player defeat so many raid bosses? It really shows that this writer has no clue how MMO's work.
If that's the case it makes perfect sense
1) The leveling system and thusly the attribute and skill gains and curve from SAO differs completely from Alfheim, what a player could have achieved when compared to a player of relative skill from another game would be vastly different
2) If you've ever played a non-leveling, skill based MMO you would realize that even the most experienced players who grind 24/7 generally only have 200-250 days logged in. Imagine Kirito who has been playing such a game with skill gains from action for 2 whole years.
3) level 60 raid bosses in most games can be cleared by the elite players at least 20 levels higher. For example in WoW a level 80 prior to Cataclysm and MoP would be able to solo the end-game bosses of vanilla and in Lotro it was the same way.
4) This also isn't your average MMO based on 'spells' persay or rather skills that require activation and do most of your damage, if you've ever played a MMO where that is the case you would understand that bosses are always weaker then their counterparts in other MMOs as players rely on movement above anything else and don't have the time or ability to tank and take damage and as such have been created not for the purpose of being some über-creature but a creature with some unique characteristics and probably a higher health cap, not exceedingly higher damage.
the short answer is go read the books before making stupid comments.
the long is that the game is designed in a way so that damage delt is based on weapon swing speed and the weapons damage attribute. kirito who has been in aincrad for 2 years has learnt how to use his fast thinking speed to speed himself up in game, this makes him so fast he can 1 shot almost anything with a half decent weapon.
Baaaaaawwww onii-chan won't love me because he already has a girlfriend
Well, it's okay. I still have that cool and nice guy I met in an online game
BAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW HE'S ACTUALLY MY ONII-CHAN
Definitely like Suguha much better than Asuna, at least Suguha can move and fight IRL as kendo user. When Sugu was hurt, I felt sorry for her, when Asuna was hurt, I kinda stopped caring due to the fact that all the pretty ones just upped and *()&()& all through out the earlier eps anyway.
Fact that Sugu was immune to that made her more valuable I guess...
That and boobs, her face pillows are soo worth it.
no thats not the reason as he logged out in that town anyway. the reason his death there was considered bad was that he was basicly in SAO fight mode where he tends to forget its a game and goes berserk so when it happends he thinks "ah shit im going to die" then when he turns into the soul fire thing hes a little shocked and dissapointed....at himself. read the novels they give you a whole lot more information on what the characters are thinking and feeling.
He'd have lost at least one day of traveling to Aarun (since he didn't set his spawn point at an inn). One day longer that Asuna would get tentacle molested by the evil corporate heir.
To prevent any spoilers, google the baseline story and you'll find out why death is such an issue for the anime, if you have time I personally suggest you start watching it or reading the manga/story book....
Wincest plot finally comes full circle
Not fully incest, but it's not bad at all.
If only they went a little further
It isn't full circle till he bangs her, which is why the next episode is titled Bonds.
I'm sure that's just a mistranslation or a mispell and the real title is "Bondage".
What awful Sword Art pictures to pick.. The breasts are all the wrong size and ruins them. Pick better pictures these ones are awful.
Now the show itself is awesome.
SAO is on the same artistic level as fan fiction. It is nothing more than wish fulfillment on the author's part, and it is pathetic.
SAO is Twilight for teenage boys.
It makes perfect sense.
Twilight is a wish-fulfilling fantasy for teen girls to self-insert into Bellas shoes.
SAO is a wish-fulfilling fantasy for teen boys to self-insert into Kirito's soes.

Suguha I love you. ;_;
Kirito doesn't like them chubby, only slim.
Sinon is best!! (^0^)
Which doesn't really make sense since Suguha, being a kendo practitioner of considerable skill, should be rather fit, not chubby.
shes not all that chubby in the anime though
she's also not chubby at all in the LN though
Seriously where did that assessment come from. She just has D cups, but is otherwise athletic and slim.
Dat oppai!

Wouldn't miss an episode!!
Yea I agree. I mean you can't help but feel bad for Suga.

pic 75 promising ;P go get em all:P

Reading this made my head hurt.

guys putting themselves into the shoes of a male protagonist has been around for ages. This is just one of them.
Twilight made it big because it was the first to successfully do the same in the female audience.
Don't just say things without understanding them from a neutral perspective.
Don't worry guys...I'll stop crying in the next episode. Just a little crush that's all.
Pretty sure it was you who was crushed.
They skipped over the part where kirito found the Holy sword excaliber....... and tonkii too.
Found but didnt get remember that.
THEY forgot Tonkii!!!! god damnit!!!
probably hard to animate an elephant jellyfish hybrid
where's that part? manga?
There is no sister vs Asuna choice. The correct answer is harem.
>Trying to justify incest

even though i know the story, i find it quite relaxing to watch and be happily excited for each new episode.
Be strong Suguha chan... (T^T)
when suguha chan cry, im really hurt. (T^T)

Basically, in SAO, Kirito IS a boss-level encounter. Regular players use anti-boss tactics against him - and lose.
the short answer is go read the books before making stupid comments.

I'm more a AsunaxKirito fan, probably because they've gone so far in their relationship, but I really love Sugu and I feel really bad for her.
Agreed, AsuTo for the win, but I feel so bad for Sugu-chan T^T I want to give her a hug.
well cat's out of the bag and man is it awkward for our hero. Sugu really has got the shit end of the stick lol.
Ah, wings...
All that animu.
Baaaaaawwww onii-chan won't love me because he already has a girlfriend

What no gif of that arrow to the ass scene >:(
I came here for that

I haven't watched the show yet but can someone answer me why death in game is so bad? Isn't it just a respawn issue?
You don't die out of the game if you die inside, right?
Because kirito forget to save at the checkpoint,,, if he die, he will spawn in.... i don't know, but obviously not anywhere near yggdrasil
no thats not the reason as he logged out in that town anyway. the reason his death there was considered bad was that he was basicly in SAO fight mode where he tends to forget its a game and goes berserk so when it happends he thinks "ah shit im going to die" then when he turns into the soul fire thing hes a little shocked and dissapointed....at himself. read the novels they give you a whole lot more information on what the characters are thinking and feeling.
In ALO anybody that dies appears again in his race hometown, which are all more than a day from Yggdrasil. There is no way to "save checkpoints".
He'd have lost at least one day of traveling to Aarun (since he didn't set his spawn point at an inn). One day longer that Asuna would get tentacle molested by the evil corporate heir.
Same question.
Just go for it, if you die.. Retry. That's all I'm thinking.
