AKB48 member Yuka Masuda has been forced to quit the group in scandalous circumstances after the outrageous revelation that she “stayed the night” at a man’s house.
In a post on her official blog, the 21-year-old idol admitted that she “had stayed the night” at fellow entertainer ISSA’s house, and pledged her complete retirement from AKB48:
There was an article about me in a weekly magazine yesterday.
It said I stayed the night at ISSA of DA PAMP’s home.
Some things in the article have no basis in fact, but it is true I stayed the night at his house.
To my supportive fans, team members, staff and family, who have all been greatly disappointed by this, I must apologise for my rash actions which have caused so much trouble to everyone and been so widely misunderstood.
I’ve been worrying over what to do from here on, and although it is sudden I think I must retire from AKB48.
To quit like this feels inexcusable, I’m really sorry for all my fans.
Aside from her disgraceful conduct betraying the ardent belief of thousands of otaku in the integrity of her hymen, there is also further outrage at her choice of illicit partner – photos of her with ISSA and his clique show him to have been a choice almost calculated to aggrieve her creepy fans with his outgoing antics and winsome looks:
Understandably, this is not in keeping with her official image of being a pure and unsullied maiden serving only the needs of her dear fans, despite her taking every opportunity to show off her undeniable charms to all comers:

When is the AV video shoot?
So you think everybody who had sex should be porn stars?? you virgin beta
Well in Japan, it's the only way to stay famous after you dun goof'd.
Have you not noticed how many "stars" get into AV after they fuck up? It's surprising, even to me.
Neither is the Earth. And it's Japan we're talking about here, so their mentality IS relevant. Dipshit.
Well that's just japanese mentality, and japan is NOT the center of the universe, you japanease wannabe
Where do u get off calling a virgin beta? It's omega, get it right lol
damn u r an idiot, she was akb member, after her scandal there will be no place for her anymore in show biz, except for AV.
So...where is the video?
Gee, There's this young, beautiful, healthy girl with normal desires and a desire for a normal private life.
Then there are her otaku fans......
Not everyone wants to spend their life rubbing up and down on a dirty crusty dakimakura. Get a life!
Easy, she knew hat kind of screwed up business this is. Yet, she jumped in, she need to follow the rules she decided to follow, she broke them, then its spot on that she was fired.
If she didn't want it to be like that she should have remained an anonymous everyday girl, noone would care about her life in any way (save from friends, family, etc)
But she decided to be famous and get money for expensive brand bags IN AN IDOL GROUP....AND AKB40 to boot!!
Implying that celebrities don't deserve privacy every once in a while?
Jesus are you really that retarded?
You try keeping up a fake, bubbly, innocent persona 24/7 for months at a time.
I bet you couldn't even make it out of your house with a shirt that isn't covered in jizz stains.

You have a very fucked up sense of how fame works.
People don't just get paid to be famous. More often than not, fame is a byproduct of their success in a particular field.
Being a celebrity is not (usually) a career in and of itself. Celebrity most often comes as part of being notable as an actor, singer, or performer. Hell even scientists can become celebrities. Are Stephen Hawking or Neil deGrasse Tyson any less deserving of privacy than other physicists simply because they're well-known and widely published?
How is it so difficult for you to understand that everybody is entitled to at least some modicum of privacy regardless of their occupation or social status?
I feel sorry for your mother having to wash your cum-stained clothing every week.
no, celebs don't deserve privacy. why is this so hard to understand? they are _BEING PAID FOR NOT HAVING PRIVACY_. why do you think they get paid more than you, or that scientist who spent decades for a doctorate and working to advance human understanding of the universe?
Jesus you are really that retarded...
You try make more money as an astrophysicist than some young bubbly innocent persona.
I bet you couldn't even make it out of undergraduate...
Sure, btw nice avatar, that tells us much about you .....
Welcome to Japan, a peace loving country where having tattoos gets you banned from the beach, and having sex gets you fired!
In the shitty USA too, maybe not the tattoe but ask the shit trouble that Clinton, Obama security, recent CIA-Military got into for sex.
That's just the Republicans playing political games with the Democrats so it doesn't count.
Yeah, its not scandalous at all for the Secret Service to be in a honey trap while on the job.
that is because japanese morals are far higher then anyone else in this world
Do explain how having tattoos is immoral, and discriminating against them is not.
Also, do explain the morality of interfering with other people's sex life.
You've made a nice little speech there, Pyrus, but I've had my fair share of conversations with lawyers and politicians. Just because you will phrase something in a slightly different matter doesn't mean that you are correct.
Let me give you a hint here:
You paint a car black, or you paint it yellow. You paint something on a canvas, or you paint something on a piece of paper. You draw on a piece of parchment or you draw on skin. It's not such a hard concept to understand, is it? Having tattoos might imply connection to certain layers of society (this can be easily be seen in the street gangs of the Western countries, as well as already mentioned Yakuza), but that doesn't change the fact that it is art; everybody does art, and only a minority does it to display faction affiliation. Most people make pictures because they are fun, not because they want the world to know about their evil schemes against the society.
If you want to prevent STDs from spreading, and unwanted pregnancies, you start a marketing campaign for a contraceptive.
As for adultery, I must point out that sex life is important to every mammal specie's functioning. For humans it goes even further- it is deeply connected to our psyche on a deeper level. There is a large number of psychological illnesses that are derived from a lack of normal sexual functioning. If there was enough quality sex in a relationship, there wouldn't be a need for committing adultery.
The Japanese are functioning on obsolete moral values that simply cannot sustain a modern society.
Japan needs more personal freedoms, not less.
"a tatoo is some meaningless act of impulse"
Yeah no. That's only if you're a retard.
Most people who get tattoos spend weeks or even months deciding what they want their tattoo to look like.
Even if it is an act of impulse, it's their body, it's their choice. No one else has the right to tell them that they're immoral because of it.
In spite of what any one individual may think about the rightness or wrongness of any given action or attitude any society may adopt, that society is what it is: a group of people who mostly share a core group of values, morals, and ideas on what is acceptable or not; what is good or not; what is right or not. Every single member will not agree completely on every single aspect, but what they do agree on, even if only partly and even if only some of them, comes out as a collection of the dos and don'ts (written and unwritten) of that society.
For the Japanese, that means that tattoos are for the Yakuza. It's not the truth, but that's how they believe. Yes, some of them realize that elsewhere in the world it's not like that and they now want to have tattoos that are just art to be admired, but those people aren't living elsewhere in the world, they are living in Japan. And the same thing goes for idols, sex, and idols having sex. It might not be fair or make good common sense, but that's how it is. In time it will change, but not until their society as whole makes that change.
If you have a tattoo, you're with the Yakuza.
You're not interfering with their sex life, you're stopping them from spreading STDs, committing fornication & adultery, having unplanned pregnancies, acquiring reputations as cheap sluts & whores (women) or faithless & womanizing dogs (men), and in general just showing people what a considerate, moral, caring, just, and upstanding person you really are. And nothing at all to do with any shame or insecurities about your own sexual identity or tendencies, or any jealousies you may harbor about the fact that someone's getting laid other than you.
Who the fuck cares about your cultural values and how you think your way of thinking is the right way.
Japan have their cultures and you have yours, get off this site since you seem to not be able to stand Japan's culture.
Japan have a history of only Yakuza and people in the underground business get tatoos.
And anybody who is weak minded that need to rely on a tatoo to keep them sane and on track, or not being able tell that a tatoo is some meaning less act of impulse and will stay with them the rest of their lives, should not be in charge of handling other citizen's lives, cuz they can't even get their own lives straight.
Idol is a profession. If you have singing abilities you are a singer. If you have acting abilities you are an actress. Idol have the looks but the rest is not professional enough to be called a singer nor actor nor whatever. Idol is a profession to sell an image of purity, so yes you are not allowed to date or have sex. You are not supposed to let people find out, it is part of your job description that you are selling a dream and phantasy to the otakus who have awkward time with women.
Either way, they are just being professional about their jobs.
You don't live in Japan so it doesn't affect you anyway. They are a successful country that they are now because of their general culture of professionalism about everything. Japan is not forcing you to like their country anyway. So just get off the site if you don't like it.
Yeah, the panty vending machines and middle school girl porn really demonstrates their lofty morality.
Higher moral? A woman get fired because she had sex with someone she like is a wrongdoing? I knew regular Japanese girls, like rest of the world lose their virginity in high school, and it consider a normal thing. Why it is any different for an idol? You should know, she might be already having sex with her boss, and you don't know that because they never told you. She just pretending to be pure, because that what otaku wanted.
She is very beautiful.
And unlike her mad fans, she has a life.
A normal, lively and lovely girl.
Yeah, and jealousy aside, he kind of looks like a weasel.
LOL, jealousy aside, that description is spot-on :D
And damn she really is beautiful.
that's fat? what?
Don't forget fat!

Your monitor and keyboard must be so sticky.
Ewwww! My keyboard is not sticky!
Ewww... my keyboard is not sticky thank you!
lol why is it such a problem to stay over at a dudes life? Why are people so interested in their personal life. They can have a boy friend whats it to everyone else? LOL, enjoy her for her singing/dancing I don't know how its a scandal unless she released a porno/nudes or something.
That's the problem. AKB48 has virtually nothing going for them save for their highly professionally implemented otaku pandering.
If she was a normal musician, there would be no problem. Unfortunately, the music is the last thing on the minds of her money spending "fans", and it's not supposed to be either.
Not that I agree with such a business model. If she had a good time that night then I'm happy for her. But in this despicable industry it's basically career suicide.
Completely agree. AKB48 doesn't sell music, they sell images. And the most important thing on that kind of business is the image of the idols. If she were to be known as a non-virgin woman, it'll be the end of her carreer, because of the fans that "support" her pretty much own her life, and they will NOT buy her image if she were a "second-hand" woman.
So, since the agency doesn't want to pay an idol that does not sell (or maybe not good enought to be profitable), the agency dismisses her.
Apparently, for the idols in AKB48, is more important their business than their own lives. And apparently, for the fans of AKB48, is more important the body of the idol than the music she "sings". So, both the agency and the fans can go screw themselves.
And the idols just need to get some damn self-respect.
@ryusoma
Why yes, the managers and agents who make a shitload of money from grooming underage girls for the idol industry are crafty businessmen.
The women who try to make the best of a social environment that promotes totally warped attitudes towards them and is generally incredibly hostile to their prosperity are calculating bitches. Yeah.
07:27
> Implies they are adults when thy join
> has no idea how grooming works
I also find your news person analogy hilarious. Hilariously bad, that is. On the one hand, being recruited into a job where you're required to behave unnatural and having to quit because you ended up behaving natural after all. On the other, entering a completely normal job and having to quit because you did something unethical. DOES NOT COMPARE
Also, as others said, for a girl as actually talented as her it's quite likely she did this on purpose. It's a way of saying "fuck you, I'm 'graduating' from this shit on my own". Now she's free of AKB48's selective promotion scheme. Can only do her good if she's serious about singing.
Gackt for example he the oldest artist Male music artist who came from Okinawa which is a shock to me because some Japanese don't like them from what I hear but he manage become a famous and accepted by the fans.
It has nothing to do with self-respect. This is purely business, and the agency knows that once you take toys out of the wrapper, they're worthless on the collectors market.
Also, to Yuka Masuda and other idols like her.. if you don't know and understand these rules going in, then you get what you deserve. No, it isn't fair but that's what you signed up for.
Either these idols really are that clueless and naive, or they're even more calculating bitches than anyone thinks; deliberately predicting when they're famous enough to get cut loose from AKB and still make a 'career'.
good luck with paying the bills with her self-respect. nobody forced her to become an idol, she made a calculated financial decision. you can try to fault the industry all you want, but ultimately she understood what was involved, and wanted to be in it. there is no way to blame the industry for her not able to keep her end of the bargain. it's the same as being a news-person claiming to be objective, then donate a large sum to one of the political party. it's about being an adult and being responsible for her own actions, she's paying for the consequences of her actions.
Bingo. The ABC123 groups would have things going even better if they just did porn instead of their crappy music. The otaku would prefer 48 schoolgirl lesbian orgy.
Because the AKB48 otaku won't like her if they think she's not a virgin (as if she was before). And no, it doesn't make any sense.
These guys give otaku a bad name.
Correction, all otaku give otaku a bad name.
She is a fake, not able to sing singer, who supported by creepy guys that love her face and body more than her song.If she start to piss off the creepy guys, the group will lose their only/most supporter, meaning less income for the higher up. Kicking her out can solve this problem, so that is what they are doing to her.

Fake my plastic shiny butt, she was the BEST voice of AKB48, and to be honest, I think she fucked up on purpose, since the group only promotes a few members (aside the most popular girls of every year, lolibait is being promoted at the moment)-
she's a fucking idol, she's supposed to be married only to the fans, don't u get it?
She's a fucking human being. She has her own needs and wants that have nothing to do with her creepy-ass neckbearded fans.
Don't you get it, you mouth-breathing 30 year old virgin?
I think that was sarcasm, actually...
