THIS LIST FAILS EPICLY
The list is how shall I put it a steaming pile of dog flop.
Agreed. Cruel Angel's Thesis duhhhh.
spoiler: these polls only exist to boost sales
You Don't Say.
>fate zero opening 2 is not in top 5
>list invalid
It's not even that good.
Go away you pleb
Sheesh, not good?
Are you deaf?
Fate/Zero ED 1 > OP 2 > OP 1 > ED 2
The music reflects the show.
Gate of Babylon only holds the best in OP/ED!
Madoka's Magia > Connect.
And where is Light my Fire/Serment/I'll Believe/One/Hishoku no Sora/Tenjou wo Kakeru Monotachi?
As someone put it, too much moeblob crap.
I don't see how 'moeblob' has anything to do with how good the songs are.
Ah, elitists.
He's not an elitist, but a sheep. They hate on things without knowing what the fuck they're talking about... just like the rest of the herd.
fucking motard sheep
overrated opening by madoka fantards who praise anything from kalafina.
LION is so good!
Hahahahahaha, another list by shitty hardcore otaku tastes.
But at least in the top its a series that is king in music: MACROSS.
The rest are what you expect of moetards.
Mad because Mr.Elitist's songs aren't in the top.
Cry more, your tears sustain me
@1300 Your ignorance keeps sustaining me.
I was hoping to see Last Exile
Well, its awesome, but hits is supposedly "TOP" there are better and memorable songs to boot, problem here is the short memory of certain fans that vote for this lists.
To vote any "TOP" you cannot conveniently pick the series you know or are form of from the last 10 or so years only, but look at the history of anime to then make a valid "TOP" since the 60s and till now.
If it was "top" in the last 10 or 15 years, then no problem.
If you were to make a "top" sports cars, would you only pick those form the last 5 years?
Mainstream rock music, a top 10 top 20, top 50, would you pick only those form the last 5 or 10 years? Leaving Nirvana, Motley Crue, Scoprions, etc, etc, tect out?
all these anime otakus with memory problems.... obviously they don't remember love.... ;)
I knows what you did there ;)
I cannot sure that song can be categorized as a theme song or not, but, that's by far the best anime song in my list and it's already 30 years old.
hahah... great, at least someone picked it up.
sure it was a theme song. it was the main song for the original macross movie.
couldn't agree more with the above
FUCK YEAH MACROSS
I actually prefer Triangler over Lion.
While we're at the topic of Macross theme songs...

Holy... was that zettai ryouiki cat girl Minmei!?
Damn, this is how Frontier should have been (the CGI is easily on par too...) There needs to be an official SDF Macross remake with this guy as the chief animator made like RIGHT NOW
ZOMG. Where is this from?
02:57 apparently, it's been made for some pachinko machine... pretty sad that those parasites are the only ones investing quality money in the true Macross universe :(
I wonder if we'll ever get to see a Macross anime with the true UN Spacy emblem again... and to stay on topic, preferably with Yoko Kanno.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uX4BzEMEZbM
Yeah I'm really pleasantly surprised to see Lion at #1.
Even better, Karma is on the list, and it was one of the best video game OPs ever (imo).
A decent list. I'm going to go update my will, clearly the universe has mischief afoot.
While I have most of these songs, I have to say, a number of the songs listed are only here because of the series they come from.
Still nice to see a lot of it is actual good songs. A nice change from the usual fail listings.
without Tank (Cowboy Bebop) or Ride on a Shooting Star (FLCL) this list is full of crap
Always... someone complaining Cowboy Bebop not getting into the list
lets see..if someone is ALWAYS complaining about cowboy bebop not getting into the list, doesnt that means that its good so thats why ppl think its weird not seeing it on the list?
Nostalgia. There are better songs now.
Popular and good are not always the same thing.
Hahaha as expected of our wise, well conseuurs moetard fans.
Only Macross deserves a spot in the top.

These lists are made by Japanese otaku, and Bebop wasn't all that popular in Japan.
I'm seconding Anon 13:43. Also, everyone seems to be forgetting that these anime (while I won't deny that they're good) are mainly popular in America, and that's mostly because they've been re-run to death on Adult Swim (FLCL less so, but I recall it airing more than twice).
@ anon 15:15. I dont agree. For example, im not from america and i can tell for sure that a lot of ppl like and think it has one of the best OST of all times.
I wont say there is no nostalgia in it coz there always is but good songs are good no matter of time or age or era or whatever place in time you lived.
Id say the same for a lot of other animes out there. Also, I agree with anon 13:42. Even now, ppl say NOIR and .Hack were one of the best OST ever created, thanks to fictionJunction, i must say.
Anyways, I do agree that just because something is popular doesnt mean strictly good but also means its not bad nor on average by all means.
Sorry, but I'm just not that fond of the blues/jazz style used in Cowboy Bebop.
@14:14
good is a subject thing.
Always... americans complaining Cowboy Bepop not getting into the list.
fixed.
a song is a song because someone sings it. Tank has no vocals so its not a "song" mmk?
Tank!'s lack of lyrics means it's an instrumental. That doesn't mean it isn't a "song."
And it isn't even a "proper" instrumental since there's a bit of spoken word at the start. It's kind of like To Live Is To Die in that regard, except that the words in Tank! have yet to appear on their author's memorial plaque (I'm loathe to use "tombstone" or "grave marker" here since Cliff was cremated and his ashes spread across his family's farm in California, and said plaque is in Sweden)
Vocals without tune can be a song, but a tune without can't be a song because its called music.
Tank! has lyrics.
Get everybody the stuff together
Ok now
3,2,1, let's jam!
Dadun darun da da da da!
Dadun darun da da da da!
This may be the stupidest thing I have ever read.
Nope. Hate to burst your bubble but a song must have lyrics to be sung, otherwise it's a musical piece. A song is always music, but music is not always a song.
No if no one sings it's still a song and it's called an instrumental you Philistine.
You disrespect all jazz and classical music, sir.
Only Macross F deserves to be in the top 25, I doubt at first but the rest is what you expect o the voters of this shitty list, type o moe otaku.
Lion at top makes me happies.
Agreed.
Cowboy Bebop is shit and you should be ashamed of yourself for suggesting it.
OP here, a few more SONGS i add to my list would be the english version of "Smile Bomb" from Yu Yu Hakusho, similarly the first english ending as well "Homework Ga Owaranai"
Angel Beats! "Lia ~ My Soul, Your Beats"
Blue Exorcist's first opening (Ao no Exorcist)
Soul Eater's "Resonance" and 3rd ending "Bakusau yume uta"
Whoops, forgot Big O's original theme which was heavily influenced by Queen, lovingly titled "Big-O!"
