Sexy idol Rie Sasaki has been announced as a parliamentary candidate in Japan’s impending general election – for the Japan Restoration Party, now also the party of no less than Ishihara himself.
The Japan Restoration Party (Nippon Ishin no Kai), the national edition of the Osaka Restoration Party started by Osaka’s dictatorial mayor Tooru Hashimoto and now incorporating Ishihara and his retinue of crazed geriatrics, and which if polls are to be believed is on course to become a major minor party, plans to field her as a candidate in the upcoming general election.
The 30-year-old former gravure idol is better known for her 3 sizes (80/56/80) than her politics, if indeed she has any, though this is perhaps not surprising (and at 30 nor is that the fact she chose to get out of idolatry) in light of her eye-opening career:
Online there have been some complaints that her candidacy is “mocking the electorate of Tokyo” – although considering how many times they re-elected Ishihara this may be well deserved.
