Typical vapid criticism that focuses on bashing perceptions of the fanbase rather than saying anything substantial about the show itself. I suggest applying for a writing spot at ANN or Colonydrop, you'd fit in far better there than here.

We always get thses galleries of shots of a character, but two questions always remain: What the heck is the show about? and, is it any effin' good?
Just watch it if you want to find out...
If you watched it and still didn't get it, then you're a moron.
It is about the oneiric/occult-themed fancy language (in the broadest of meanings) a few stimulatory deprived young waifs use to develop a sense of preoccupation with life in their stale, inconsiderate environment, and to train their creativity in the process. Their exploits meet with dismay on part of the rest of the characters, who are either already tired with their own efforts in the field, or never found the prospect appealing.
It shows you how, owing to boredom and self-consciousness, you get the proverbial everything and the opposite of everything in life. Also, about perspective, and where the boundaries of mindsets brought about by stages of personal development lie. And how quirky the straight-man renouncement of socially unfavorable peculiarities can be. It's not sold as highbrow stuff, you get the regular noisy, tussling, cutesy delivery.
If you like girls solemnly acting out dark, bombastic battle anime in tepid slice-of-life settings, and are not put off by visual kei lyrics or juvenile blogging stereotypes, try it. Since the lines are elegant, vibrant and light-hearted (in the subbed versions), the show does well and is likeable. On the other hand, the jerkiness average across the character cast is astounding, but there are hints in some scenes as to how this may have been thought to serve realism.
I am loving this show way more than I ever thought I would :3

Had to stop watching this show. I found the characters so damn annoying. If they wanted to show the cuteness of the girls it should of come off naturally and subtle. But its like they are forcing it down our throats.
