Kirito is a fucking cheater. His spells are supposed to be illusions yet it actually turned him into an overpowered Gleameyes monster.
Oh, come on. He cheated as soon as he logged in! You don't make a new character who could butcher experienced PVPers with a single stroke!
alfheim online has no lvl as other mmo the only thing that counts is the player skill and experience, so in that regard is more than normal that kirito can own veteran players at pvp, after all he was able to spar with suguha on even grounds skill-wise
also if you've read the light novel, alfheim online bases the actual strength of each character with the persons real combat abilities and not with stats and saying that kirito has honed his abilities in combat for the 2 years(non stop) stay in sao would make him far superior than your average hardcore gamer (since basically there were times that he lacked sleep just to lvl up)

You know, when he FIRST logged into Altheim Online he already said he was a 'cheater'. Not intentionally, mind you, but all the same he's not playing to the same rules as everyone else. Still, he's a man on a mission that goes beyond the game. I think a few cheats are more than justified here.

Actually, his spell didn't really "change him into a powerful monster" as much as it gave him such an appearance and increased attack reach. That his "unarmed" skill is maxed (or almost maxed, anyway) and thus his attacks in that form were powerful is another thing entirely.
It changes his form and shape.He kept his stats from SAO,which was around level 90+.Basically other than his form,nothing changed and the damage he did was the same he would have done with a sword.Only his reach and size got bigger,if anyone else did it they would just be a big target(also it scared the enemy because of his form which broke a formation they could have used to beat him regardless of size).
Considering his hardwork in SAO for 2 years (not to mention it was a DEATH GAME) I think his "cheating" ways is quite justifiable. One more thing.. he doesn't have time to make his way all over from Lv.1 again. Don't forget a f*cking shitty psychopath molester is goig to marry his woman in less than a week!!

Things will probably change (at least relationship wise) once Asuna reunite with Kirito, or Leafa learns the true identity of her brother.

You assume correct. There was, and is currently only ONE reason Kirito is in ALO. And that is Asuna. When he gets to the world tree, you'll see just how bad he has it.
