Visitors to a recent Guiyang motor show were treated to the charming sight of a companion clad in nothing but pasties, pantsu and a snake, despite supposed efforts to reign in events which increasingly seem to be more about the allure of scantily clad girls rather than that of shiny blocks of metal.
After online comments to the effect that “these motor shows are more like boob shows” in response to another recent show in Chengdu, highly titillating costumes were actually banned in a subsequent show in Wuhan – although evidently China’s nascent gravure industry, based largely on booth babes and bodypainting, won out in the end.
